You can add your own Avatar pic in the forum profile, just as I did.
Hope you will get used to your twinblock soon. The moment will come, when it‘s just another part of you.
Brackets weren’t an option for you?
Similar. Jaw is very achy. Speech still awful. Glad I’m not at work yet. I’ll try and add a photo of them but still not sure how to do it. I can’t attach a photo here. Any advice?
First night was awful. Was pretty painful and really uncomfortable. Jaw is achy today. So much saliva all the time which was worse at night. I think I am over the worst of it or it has peaked at least so hopefully all improves from here
Thank you both. I have taken work off for the week as I knew it would be awkward. I’ve told my immediate team which was the right thing to do. I’ll try your tips and keep talking. Hopefully that helps. Much appreciated
Hang on in there! Your speech is probably better than you think ( try recording yourself) and it will no doubt get much better with practice-read or sing to yourself.
Do you have to go to work tomorrow? Have you told colleagues about your new appliance?
Been to get them fitted! Wow! They are so bulky and it is so hard to speak in them! This is going to be tough! I was so nervous all day and turns out I was right to be ????
A new adjustment for her. There were 4 fillings, only 1 was done. The other three will be done on May 9th.
Can anyone familiar with the previous images tell us what type of palate brace she might need? They didn't explain the order of treatment, only that they would remove 4 premolars and she would need a palate brace. We also don't know the order or exactly what she has. I suppose it could be an open bite?
My next appointment is at the end of May. Any color recommendations now that summer is here?
