In the age of the internet, there is no longer such a thing as exclusive rights to stories. Once something is on the internet, it is out there forever,
As a writer, I always want to be credited as the author of what I have written. As a collector of stories, I always do my best to credit the original author when I add a story to my collection.
I do understand your frustration, but I think you should finish the story anyways.
