That looks great, i was thinking of buying double feed plates, would you recommend the thicker plastic or is it too much in your mouth?

I ordered an expander.  I purchased  impressions kit off eBay and did my own. Long story short I sent them of around 29th May, they just got to the US (from Australia) last week. Thy are currently waiting to be cleared with customs.
I estimate that they will get them in approx. 2 weeks.

I had a twin block appliance for a year, and had to wear it full time (although I must confess I didn't wear it for meals that often). Despite this I liked the appliance.

Headgear, elastics, lip bumper, 5 years.  But it would not have been 5 years if I actually wore the headgear. 

then 5 surgeries, having my jaw wired shut once for 6 weeks. 

I had a jones jig and nance appliance for almost a year and then braces

I had a Nance appliance for half a year

TurboBites bzw. Aufbisse könnte man noch hinzufügen,  aus eigenem "Anlass".

Mit 16 Jahren feste Zahnspange mit Metall Brackets OK und UK
Bänder jeweils von den 4er bis 6er
Im OK einen QuadHelix
Im Anschluss lose Platten mit Dehnschrauben im OK und UK

Aktuell in Behandlung mit fester Zahnspange Glaskeramik OK und UK
Erst Aufbisse auf den 6er Im UK später Turbobites im OK an den 1er
Bänder jeweils 6er und später sind die 7er noch dazu gekommen

definitely hawley wire retainers,,, they hold much longer and they are adjustable in case you dont wear them for some reason enough,,, so slight corrections can be done with them easily,,,,,versus clear retainers will just not fit anymore if teeth have slightly shifted,,,,

It doesn't hurt to have the brackets removed. They squeeze them with pliers and they just pop off. Then they sand down the glue that's remaining on your teeth.

I had a removable bite plate. I had it for about 6 to 9 months, I don't remember exactly.

Are you able to move your jaw from side to side with the herbst appliance, do have any pictures of the whole ensemble too?

I had a bonded expander for 9 months and it was extremely hard to eat and talk for the first three weeks.

I’m getting my braces off soon and I am getting a bonded wire retainer for my bottom teeth but I can choose my top retainer, which one is the best?

I’m getting my braces off in about a month. Just finishing up on elastics? Does anyone know how much it hurts when they take them off?
