GC orthodontic sind nicht schlecht. Ich habe im ok auch welche, allerdings die aus Keramik. Du kannst also dem großen Tag ganz entspannt entgegengehen.

Kann deine Aufregung gut verstehen. Fühlt sich anfangs total ungewöhnlich an, besonders beim Zähneputzen aber man gewöhnt sich schneller als man denkt. Viel Glück

Ich bin am Donnerstag wieder dran. Dann kommen die Powerchains zum Einsatz. Die wollte sie vor dem Urlaub nicht „montieren“, weil erst wir, dann die Praxis Ferien machte und sich die Dinger anscheinend auch verfärben können. Bin ja mal gespannt.
Ansonsten war die letzte Etappe geradezu entspannt. Nachdem ein Bracket mit Plastik „überbacken“ wurde, scheuerte nichts mehr, auch der Bogen blieb in der Form und piekste nicht und der Übergang vom 14 er Draht zum 16 er Draht war auch easy. Da waren die ersten Etappen doch schmerzhafter... na,ja, mal sehn was jetzt kommt. Ich habe die Spange  jetzt knapp drei Monate drin und bin immer wieder erstaunt, wieviel sich schon verschoben hat.

Die feste Zahnspange kommt bereits nächste Woche am Montag.

Ich hatte letztens wieder meinen Werkstatt-Termin, der Monatsservice verlief weitgehend unspektakulär.
der Chefmechaniker war im Großen und Ganzen zufrieden mit dem Verlauf. Der "Zahnriemen" ;D wurde weiterhin nicht gewechselt (schon 4Monate drin ) (wohl zuwenig verschleiß) nur die Drahtligaturen wurden teilweise erneuert da ein paar gebrochen waren.. Die "good" News kamen dann zum Schluss - beim nächsten Termin bekomme ich auch unten die Brackets geklebt am 11.09 ist's dann soweit..

@Flaneur - wie läufts bei dir mittlerweile?

I would go with standard hawley retainers, provided you can be good about wearing them.  At one point, I had a bonded retainer on my lower teeth and did not like the feeling on my tongue at all.  Plus flossing is even more difficult than with braces.

Ja der länger Bogen bringt eigentlich nichts ich möchte wenn dann dass das Nackenband länger ist das die Module nicht an der Haut anliegen.

I'd have to go for clear acrylic, which was the colour of my removable, or the sort of translucent pink colour that also seems to have been very popular. Just as long as they are Hawleys!

Otherwise I managed to get this model of facebow, the outer bow is much longer than a classic facebow which prevents the headgear and the security module from being too tight.

A lot of the early headgear pictures I saw had the straps in a  mid-blue colour, which also seemed to have been a popular ligature colour for friends. Ever since then, my favourite colour has to be "headgear strap blue".

My usuals are either mono cobalt blue or a combo of teal blue and neon green. Since I just started powerchains on the bottom, I feel a little more limited in what colors I can combo, but as for what I'm planning I definitely want to rock some Christmas colors around the holidays. For my next appointment tho I'm really looking forward to trying out the "suprise me" answer, and see what they decide to give me. Hopefully some colors I wouldn’t normally think of like pink or maybe even oragnge. So long as it's nothing boring I'll be down for it.

I had blue the entire time I had my braces.

I had my braces in middle school and I was pretty shy, so I thought that if I got the same color every time people wouldn't know when I've had an orthodontist appointment. Nevermind the fact that I usually came to school late or had to leave early for the appointments. I don't know exactly why I wanted people to not know when I had an appointment.

Looking back, I wish I has tried out a variety of colors. If I ever got them again, I might start with silver or blue, but then hopefully have the guts to try other colors, and maybe color combinations. There are some color combinations that I think look cool, but I don't know that I'd try (such as green and purple; at most if I tried that I'd get green on top and purple on bottom).

I would definitely choose full metal. I don't like the way clear braces look (particularly from a distance), and I didn't like wearing my essix retainer, so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like wearing invisalign.

For those who've had braces - what was your favorite color or colors to get on them?

Or even if you haven't had braces, what color do you like to see the most?

For myself favorites were a medium blue or black.
