Da gehen ja die Berichte weit auseinander von quälenden Schmerzen bis hin zu "halb so wild"...

Unglaublich, aber wahr - sie sind drin.... Ich kann es garnicht glauben.
Es sind selbstligierende Demon Metallbrackets, 3-4-5 mit Hook. Auf den 6ern jeweils Röhrchen mit Hook
Das Einsetzen war spannend, aber eigentlich unspektakulär. Da hat sich in den 40 Jahren seit meiner Jugend nicht viel getan...
Danach gabs noch eine kurze Einschulung in den richtigen Umgang mit der Spange und fürs richtige Zähneputzen.
Insgesamt war ich nichtmal 1 1/2 Stunden dort.

Und sie fühlen sich so unglaublich gut an - die geb ich nie mehr her  ;D

Die erste Mahlzeit hab ich auch schon hinter mir, ging erstaunlich gut.
Ich soll nur dem Kleber noch 24 Stunden Zeit geben zum Aushärten, bevor ich härtere Dinge essen darf.

Hujajui, in nur noch 12 Stunden ist es so weit und ich bekomme meine Brackets eingebaut.
Bammel und Freude vermischen sich zu einem unglaublichen Gefühlscocktail….

Nun sind ein paar Tage vergangen, seit meinem letzten Eintrag.
Die verbleibenden 720 Stunden haben sich mittlerweile auf 360 Stunden halbiert.
Was bin ich gespannt, kann es kaum erwarten…

An update to my post from february this year.
On October 21st my dream will come true and I will get braces again.
As promised in February, I rejected the offered treatment with Invisalign and chose metal brackets instead. As the ortho said, bands should bot be necessary, but still brackets on top and bottom for 1.5 to 2 years. Can’t wait to get them on ????

I had a gold crown on a molar that they banded back in the early 2000s.  I don't think the orthodontists could bond to non-enamel surfaces back then. 

Me too. But also because hawley is more like still having braces

I have six crowns and have had my braces for 3.5 years. But my orthodontist is old school and still uses metal bands.

Does anyone know if you can get braces after having a crown on a back molar.  My teeth have shifted and I want braces again, just not sure if it is possible.

Now I am really curious why people prefer Hayley.  For me it us because I don't like the feel of something over top of my teeth.

my wife never went to clear after her first adjustment.  They just got so grose.  Pink was her go to

i wonder how carries treatment lasted?  did she relapse for a nother round of metals?

it really depends on the person.  dark hair black blends in.  blonds the pink tends to blend in

I Do think it is wise to understand the forum before posting.
However, if I am mistaken, I hope Marty delete my unnecessary posts.

I see the point in the current option set in this poll. However, if we remove the consultation aspect of it, which was added after my post, it is more "scientific" to sample the real world. But, regardless,

Fetishism and political progressiveness of the latest 2.5 generations are not a reason for being hostile nor a common denominator of this forum's users.

Retainers, Hawley like (look it up) are only a pale passive appliance similar to much more complex appliances (more lisp, for you) still considered "kinky" enough for many members.

So, TL;DR: Better add "retainer-like removable braces" as another option as a bare minimum to show some knowledge and allow better results.

But the poll is specifically about retainers, not about devices used for active treatment.

It's perfectly possible the OP doesn't know about the devices you mention, but it's not very welcoming to tell a first-time poster to 'show some knowledge ', when they may be aware and have deliberately excluded them!

Your preferred appliances may be active plates, the OPs may be post-treatment retainers.
