Will these appliances actually change my bite?

Hello! I'm interested in the RPE with Braces and Telescope. But before I decide I was wondering. Does anyone know if the Telescope/Herbst will have the unwanted side effect of actually changing my bite?
 
I’ve been wondering this too, but I have to think that the telescope part could only affect my bite if I wear it every minute of every day for an extended period of time, just like actual prescribed appliances won’t change your bite if you don’t wear them consistently
 
Unless you request otherwise the herbst part should be set by the shop so that it doesn't move your jaw any further than the normal resting position. And then it's no issue at al to wear it for long periods.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
