Removable acrylic RPE

The Braces Shop is offering a removable acrylic RPE. I think this is new and like the idea of having an RPE but isolated from the  acrylic- unlike the schwartz expander. However, I would like to add an anterior bite plane. Do you think that would be possible? Perhaps fixed onto wires coming from the main appliance?

Yes, we can do that - you can add the Bite Plate directly on the product page under "Add-ons" -> "Show More":

I have just received a photo of my completed appliance from the Braces Shop and am looking forward to receiving it.

I haven't received it yet. The photo was sent to me by the Braces Shop for my approval of the appliance before it is despatched to me. I expect it will be a week or so before I receive it.
 
I have had my appliance for four days now and have worn it almost 24/7. My speech at first was terrible because of the bite plate, but it is slowly improving. The expansion screw does not affect my speech at all. I estimate the bite plate to be about 5mm thick.
The appliance is beautifully designed and manufactured and I am very pleased with it. My only complaint was the glacially slow delivery after I had approved the finished appliance.
I have tried to post photos but am met with a response to the effect that the file is too big. So I will have to make do with the high quality phot I received from the shop which I have already posted.

It looks awesome. So because of the bite plate, your back teeth are not touching at any time?
 
I have now had the appliance for two weeks and worn it almost full time to give my speech chance to adapt. My speech is still a bit lispy, especially if I have too much saliva in my mouth, but is much improved.
Whilst my initial interest in the appliance was to experience the feel of an expander in the roof of my mouth, my modified appliance is dominated by the bite plate which is quite a challenge.
I remain pleased by the quality and fit of the appliance.. I posted a five star review, but it seems to have disappeared-perhaps because I was critical of the slow delivery of the finished appliance.
