New Hardware for the New Year?

Not really "hardware," but my wife will be getting elastics at her next adjustment, one week from today.
 
I fugured out to adjust my Interlandi Headgear properly by shortening the outer arms at one of my facebows a bit.
Now it‘s very comfortable to wear with my fakes. It‘s much better to sleep in it, than in my combination pull setup - which I still love to wear ;-)

I really wonder, why the Interlandi is not much more common...
 
I guess that, if all that is needed is a backwards pressure, using a neck strap technally will do the job ok, with the large advantage that it IS rather less visible, which IS important to "normal" patients. And probably both cheaper and more rugged.

I guess the advantage of the Interlandi is the possibility to change the direction of the pull force.

I have one of everything, and my favourite has always been th Interlandi: it's amazingly comfortable.
 
I just woke up after a good sleep in my whole setup.
Modified Activator with pelottes and telescopic Herbst plus Interlandi headgear.
... thinking about a consultation at an orthodontist to get something non removable.

.... still dreaming ...

My dentist is not a friend of braces, as I recognized last time, when I asked her about it. Only if really necessary.
But when I will decide to do the step, I´m sure to find somebody who will find a reason for a treatment.
 
If you visit an ortho and say you aren’t happy with your teeth they will probably evaluate and give a treatment plan, even if it is minor or cosmetic.

Right! They're in business to make money. My wife did seven consults before getting her braces, which were hardly actually necessary, and not a single practice discouraged her from getting treatment.
 
I agree.  Most people are going to have something that could be corrected.  Orthos aren't going to stay in business if they shoo away potential paying customers.
