Clear retainer thickness

Please share the pros and cons of the 1mm vs 1.5mm clear retainer (with brackets) options in the Braces Shop.

I can't imagine there would be much difference other than that the 1.5 might be slightly more robust. I would have thought that you would have to increase thickness to maybe 3mm to make it interesting. I expect the shop would do this if you requested it in your order
