Can you keep braces after they come off?

When your braces come off can you ask your orthodontist if you can keep them with you as a souvenir? Would that be weird? Any ways to justify this request?

I would love to keep them so i can put them back on my teeth recreationally. But I don’t want to tell him this. Also does anyone know if it’s possible to temporarily make braces stick to your teeth?

You can definitely keep them (I'm in the UK, here anything that has been in your body like that is legally considered yours)

Depending on the brackets and removals, you may find the edge of the brackets/base matrix damaged and not suitable for rebonding

You can definitely keep them. They’re just going to throw them away if you don’t. They literally offered to let me keep mine and it’s standard practice. If they don’t, just ask if you can keep them as a souvenir.

Thanks. I wouldn’t re-bond them permanently but just wondering if I want to have them in my mouth for a few minutes at a time how I can make them stick to my teeth haha.
