Das wäre fatal Ingo. Eine Zahnspange sollte jeder der sie braucht bekommen. Wenn ich mir allerdings die 12- 15 jährigen anschaue von denen 70% eine Zahnspange haben dann kann da sicherlich irgendwas nicht stimmen.

Das mit dem aufschwatzen von Komfortleistungen kenne ich selber auch. Ich hab mir damals Speed-Brackets andrehen lassen. Den einzigen Vorteil hatte allerdings mein Behandler (der Bogenwechsel dauert mit solchen Brackets keine 2 min / die er aber voll abrechnen kann). Mich haben die größeren! Brackets deutlich mehr Geld gekostet als das normale Modell.

Die ganze Aktion ist schon meine 2. KFO-Behandlung. Die erste war in der Schulzeit (ca. 5 Jahre verschiedene lose Geräte, zuerst aktive Platten OK+UK und danach verschiedene Doppelspangen, Kinetor und Fränkel-Apparat/Funktionsregler). Nach dem Durchbruch der Weisheitszähne haben sich wieder Probleme eingestellt und ich habe mich als Erwachsener erneut in Behandlung begeben. Nach 2 Jahren aktiven Platten OK+UK geht es jetzt hauptsächlich um die Beseitigung eines Kiefergelenkproblems, dehalb der Federaktivator. Eine feste Bracket-Spange war auch in der Diskussion...

Hört sich spannend an. Was genau möchtet ihr denn mit dem Geät bewirken. Und wie alt bist du (wenn man fragen darf?)

DemBones, regarding your first requirement, I'd guess some kind of activator would fill your needs best - preferably the 'Dutch' variety that spreads the jaws apart quite a lot. The further apart your jaws are, the smaller the opening at the front is, and the more plastic there is between your tongue and your lower (!) teeth, the harder it is to talk.  >  The shop will add headgear tubes to anything you ask them to. Of course, there is nothing to prevent you from adding outer shields, as well. You name it, the technician will build it. Best supply a photo, though. Or, better still, a drawing!

For your second request, something to eat and talk with, either go for the classic Hawleys (you can order them with headgear tubes) or a twin block, if you want something a little 'heavier'. You can talk and chew with either, given a little practice.

Removable appliances and elastics usually don't go together in real life... at the very least, retainers to support elastics wouzld have to have sturdy clasps to hold them in. Elastics have quite a bit of force to offer... ;-)

das gehört zwar nicht hierhin - aber das rot-grüne Teil finde ich rattenscharf. Hat "das" einen Namen? Fränkeldingens vielleicht?

hab ich das getan? Meine Aussage war genau wie der Tipp, dass der Shop Twin-Blocks bereithält, anonym-allgemeiner Natur.

Und um MEIN Leben brauchste dir keine Sorgen machen - is alles easy ;-)

...übrigens finde ich, dass wir das Kriegsbeil jetzt begraben sollten

Erst mal halblang... Wenn du mich schon Klusch***er nennst, dann erlaube ich mir hier nach zu legen.  :
dein Post steht im öffentlichen Teil eines Forums, dass du dann mit Antworten von anderen Personen als dem Shoptechniker leben musst sollte dir eigentlich klar sein.
Ansonsten kann du ja die PN-Funktion oder wie von jaegermeister die Kontaktfunktion auf der Shop-Homepage verwenden.

Du hast hier sehr allgemein geschrieben und ich denke keinem von uns, auch nicht dem Shoptechniker, war klar, dass du einen Twinblock mit genau diesen zwei Modifikationen suchst.
Kurzum, ich wollte dir nur sagen, dass es bereits ein solche Spange gibt - ohne den Hintergrund dich blossstellen zu wollen.

Überdenke deine Reaktion - wenn du überall auf gut gemeinte Tipps so reagierst, ist dein Leben kein Zuckerschlecken...

Wow!  That would be definitely fill the mouth.  Did you get it from BracesShop.net?  I like that it can accommodate headgear and/or facemask.

Es ist auch nicht so, dass ich noch nie was im Shop bestellt hätte. Die Hansa-Platte z.B., die im Shop abgebildet ist, ist MEINE.

Okay, this is going to sound odd, but I need advice.  I want to buy something, but I'm unsure as to what.  I've looked at the products in the store, and it gets a bit confusing at times as to what is suitable and what not.  Activators and Hansa plates and bionators and and and....

I am essentially looking for two things - one is almost the opposite of each other.

The first item I am looking for is something that will "fill my mouth". Top and bottom, and make it almost impossible to speak, and eating totally out of the question - drinking water will still be required, of course.  Something big and bulky that is obvious and will be visible when I'm wearing it.  This is my "extreme retainer" - this is a fetish item because sometimes I just need a mouth full of stuff!

the second item is a bit more "low key" - something like a normal Hawley retainer that I can wear but I need to be able to speak clearly and chew in it, for "long term" wear.  This is more legitimate than fetish/fun
I need headgear tubes on both of these, but I do not want fake brackets - it must be a "real" appliance.  If it's possible to wear elastics on either or both of these, it would be great, but not a necessity. 

So, anyone able to give any help?

Genau so ist es!

Schreib doch einfach im Shop über die Kontaktfunktion direkt den Techniker an und beschreibe möglichst genau was du willst. Der Kontakt geht schnell und er ist super freundlich.

Kein grund hier gleich dermaßen agressiv patzig zu (über)reagieren - denn wie man in den Wald reinruft so kommt es auch zurück..

Auch ich bin nicht der Shoptechniker - aber ich denke schon das deine Wünsche berücksichtigt werden können..
Es wurde ja bereits durch den Techniker mal erwähnt das die zu bestellende Spangen im Shop nur eine Auswahl sind und sich nach Absprache auch anderes Umsetzen lässt...
