Anyone have retainers like this?

I really want to get a retainer like this.   Can it be made even more bulky and thick?

I think this brace is called a Fränkel and it exists in different versions.

When you want to have it produced thicker you simply demand this when you order it.

This is my very similar and bulky orthodontic device like the one you showed in the photo.
You can find the photos here: https://dereferer.me/?https://noreferrer.me/?https://dereferer.me/?https://noreferrer.me/?https://dereferer.me/?https://noreferrer.me/?https://dereferer.me/?https://shorturl.at/ikOY0

Modified Activator With Pelottes

I did make the following changes:
- The upper part of the palate completely closed and thick.
- The lower extension part closed on the front.
- Protective tubes put on the upper and lower arch wire.
- Pads and tubes colored orange.
- Device colored blue and orange.
- Add design of the soccer ball to the upper part of the palate.

I wore the activator and I can tell you my experience:

It is impossible to speak because both the upper and lower teeth are blocked.
The appliance is a single block.

Its presence is very evident in the mouth.

There is the extension of the plaque up to the lower teeth.

The upper plate covers the entire palate.

The pelottes are cluttered and you feel them between the gum and the outside of the mouth.

The lips are more prominent.

You always feel the pearl in front of the tongue.

The device produces a lot of saliva.
You have a bit of pain in your mouth and teeth at first because you feel the pressure of the upper and lower arches and you also feel the pressure of the pelottess.

The feeling you have is that you feel imprisoned and you are afraid of not being able to remove the appliance.

I have yet to try it with the headgear.
I'll let you know what it feels like.

In any case, I also recommend you to order this type of device with my modifications I'm sure you will like it.
