I had to get a crown on one of my molars a couple of weeks ago, and since then, none of my appliances have been fitting quite right. I have a Hawley upper that I wear from my braces days, and a twin block that I bought from the shop. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it something I can fix, or can I send it to the shop technician with a new mold for adjustments?
Thanks.

adjustment with new molds should not be a problem, i've done that myself a few times (broken wire etc). Very good work and not expensive..

If you have a dental lab near you, see if they can make the adjustments for you. Most of the time the lab does much of the work before the dentist receives the appliance. They may be able to help you.

I have asked the shop technician to do the adjustment for me - I am sending some impressions to the shop and then they will be able to complete this for me. I will update and let everyone know when I receive the twin block again !

I forgot to respond to this thread when my twin block came back to me, but the adjustments were successful thanks to the braces shop! I am glad to be able to wear it once again.
