Does it say Bracesshop.net as sender on the parcel when it arrives?
And do you have to write Bracesshop as reciever when returning the impression kit?
I live in a small town where everybody knows eachother and would have to pick it up at post office, not too keen on showing everybody...

And when ordering the fixed upper and lower braces, you can choose a colour, is it the colour of the plastic part behind your teeth or the rubber bands on the brackets?

Thanks for posting the pictures. I am interested in the same appliance for my wife once her braces come off (sometime next year), so it was great to see what it looks like especially with the facebow. Do you find that's comfortable to wear?

I had to make some adjustments, to make it comfortable, meaning a Dremel tool and some high grade sand paper.
The bite was a bit off so both upper and lower brace would not be flat if I bite down. And my mouth would be open a lot...
The angle between them i had to adjust.

Now its very comfortable. I can close my lips  and i sleep with the twinbock and headgear on as well. No problem.
Its nice that you can adjust how tight you want to have the fit, with the expanders.

Just make sure your impressions are good, then you will be fine.

Let me know if you need any more info etc... Im glad to help out.

Br,

No it says the name of the technician´s place.
But its soo small, and its in a normal white small box. Nobody will notice.
It does say "Dental impression 10€ for custom value only" but trust me, nobody will notice anything.

Hello,  I've had mine for nearly a month.  Went into a nearby village the other day wearing top and bottom .  Went to Tesco and the lady on the till noticed but didnt say anything.

Decided to go to the chemist and noticed they sold wax for braces so I asked the girl behind the counter who was very helpful noticed she also wore braces.  I was lisping like mad and kept apologising spent about 5 mins chatting about her braces and her treatment amazing

probably not - that was one of the reasons for just getting the fixed brackets on a retainer as i wanted to try and wear it in public.

Was that the first time out in public with them?
If so, that was probably quite a challenge and a buzz?

I think fake 'fixed' brackets must be quite fun as you can hardly take them out if you get the urge to, when you are around the same people.
Do you ever go away on your own....that might be the next challenge, to wear them for an extended time and you would have to keep them in to appear real.

hi,

yes this was my first time out with them, i wore them for most of the day but only in the afternoon i went into a shop and luckily the girl behind the counter wore them also.  we chatted about where to get wax from, i also mentioned i had just had them fitted and was getting elastics in the future she also said she had elastics but doesn't wear them - i will go back to the same shop again :)

I've driven through to Leeds and worn my modified twin block with headgear quite a lot. I've been into Boots the Chemist to ask about toothbrushes and on Christmas Eve went into Subway and ordered a sandwich - i noticed the girl serving was wearing retainers  so when I apologied for not being able to speak properly she said she totally understood!

I get a lot of stares from people but nobody has ever talked to be about it! Best one was in a que at a till and a small boy behind was asking his Mummy why the may in front was wearing a funny thing in his mouth! I turned around and smiled and the Mummy was bright  red with embarrassment!

Anybody else in the U.K. Willing to meet up and go public with braces??
