"Ok, any ideas what it could be?"
"Well, it could be a few things. Santa's gone rogue and come south a bit early? One of the elves has been trying out some magic? Or one of our younger fairies is playing with magic they shouldn't be?"

------ cut -----

"So, how can I be of help, your majesty?"
"Well, it's more that I think I might be of help to you. I've been reading about the strange happenings at Runesdale" said the Queen.

------ cut -----

"I need you to tell me more about the Dark Archive"
"The Dark Archive? What's that?"

------ cut -----

"So, number 4: 'you may not say anying about the contents of the Dark Archive, or indeed that the Dark Archive even exists, without specific permission from someone with a security grade 90 or above'. Hey, if I don't actually sign this, I already know about the 'Dark Archive'... that's stupid!"
"Yeah, I know it is - but that's stupid official paperwork for you!"

------ cut -----

"The FAS guys are completely trustworthy, but have a rather limited skillset, much of which involves just aiming then pulling a trigger. And the guys I work with just don't have your knowledge. You guys understand humans, and teeth and braces, and that's what this is all about."

------ cut -----

On the wall there was a sign: 'YOU ARE IN A MAZE OF TWISTY LITTLE PASSAGES, ALL DIFFERENT.'

------ cut -----

"What on EARTH are those things on your feet? I mean, the pink looks quite cute, but what ARE they?"
"Oh, they're my roller boots! Don't you think they are cool?"

All promising starts I like the one with Caroline waking up with headgear but all the starts you've posted so far are good  so come on don't keep us in suspense too much longer for the full thing

I guess only ONE can be the start..... but they all happen in the story (or just before the story).

I seem to have one more trailer to post (maybe I should write some more!). The story is a bit of a joint effort between me & "Core", he's been working out what braces our various (yes, there will be several of them!) victims will have, and will be writing the chapters that describe in detail what braces the victims get. I'm writing all the fairies stuff (and there's plenty of that) - missing from this series is Emily & Wendy (they wanted too much money... they have got a bit to big for their fairy boots!) but we introduce several new characters, and find out what Lilly has been up to. As is normal with my stories, it's less a braces story, but a story with braces in (and hopefully along the way, a few bits of fun that will make you smile!).

And the roller boots thing? Ask Core....

So, the question is: is it that these story trailers are REALLY that interesting, or is it that, with there being so little ELSE happening here, ANYTHING that gets posted is interesting?

YOU ARE IN A LITTLE MAZE OF TWISTING PASSAGES, ALL DIFFERENT.

YOU ARE IN A LITTLE TWISTY MAZE OF PASSAGES, ALL DIFFERENT.
A BIG DRAGON BLOCKS YOUR WAY.

> kill dragon
WITH WHAT?  YOUR BARE HANDS?

> yes
CONGRATULATIONS!  YOU HAVE JUST VANQUISHED A DRAGON WITH YOUR BARE HANDS!  (UNBELIEVABLE, ISN'T IT?)

The stories aren't really my cup of tea, as you know, but you write quite well and are certainly more imaginative/outside the box than me with my hidebound tales. ;D

Though you're right, there's very little else happening here besides the video links. Most people only want to consume content rather than exert even the slightest effort to create it. So keep up the good work!

I have an advance copy of the working file. I can definitely say that it will be worth reading once it is posted. Too bad there aren't more people willing to contribute stories to the forum.

I need to take my own advice and work on my stories a bit more. I've been a bit lazy and haven't put that much effort into them lately.

I need to take my own advice and work on my stories a bit more. I've been a bit lazy and haven't put that much effort into them lately.

When I finished Plain Jane, I wasn't sure what would be next... "Dave, Andrea & them" needed to be finished, then some one suggested "a dark fairy", which got my thinking juices going. There's so much you can do when there's badness around! Doubly so when that fairy is a tooth fairy that seems to have 'turned to the dark side'!  And gets the idea of giving people braces - that the ortho can't remove!

For a change, I actually STARTED writing the story with the later chapters, so I knew where the story was heading (besides, that's where 'character X' and 'character Y' have a fight, so was fun to write). When I look at the text file, the "end bit" is currently the second 50%, with 2 big gaps in the first 50% yet to be written!

YES, Braceface2015, you do need to get doing some more writing, as do a load of others in here! There's some good stories needing to be continued!

The forums seem to have generally been quiet this last month, not really sure why... any ideas?

Runesdale is a quaint town in middle England. Located near a large forest, it has a Supermarket, a Butchers, a Bakery, 4 Roller-Skating Rinks (one outdoors), plus a Doctor's Surgery, a Dentist, and an Orthodontist.

When Carrie woke up late this morning, her mouth was feeling sore. She went into the bathroom, to get herself a glass of water... she was still quite tired after "working online as Daisy" last night. That was when she looked in the mirror, and discovered that she seems to have a lot of metal in her mouth, full bands to be precise. Not to mention the double headgear, and she could feel something lumpy inside her mouth too.

Carrie smiled. She absolutely loved what she saw! But where had they come from? Who really cared, they were ten times better than the fake braces she had!!!!

(It goes without saying that, when Carrie went to bed last night, her teeth were actually perfectly straight, and had no braces on them!)
