I'm looking forward to seeing how this story goes. Keep it up.

To GarotaFakebr

If you would like to send them to me, I can add them to TheArchive. I am always looking for more stories to add, and I don't have the same restrictions that the moderators do here.

I have enjoyed what you have written here and would like to see what else you have.

Anyone  else that would like to send me stories is also welcome to do it.

Commenting on stories can be a difficult one. As someone who has written for years, often without any commentary positive or negative, I do understand what you mean. However, I've also had a number of people tell me via private message that they enjoy what I write.

It can often be a fine balance between taking the time to write a comment that you enjoyed the story versus handling 15 or 20 comments raving about how good the story is an pushing for more before you'd even had a chance to turn around, usually from people who have never attempted to write a story themselves, or who think they "can't".

I have to admit I'm quite the opposite: I sometimes find too many comments a little oppressive (perhaps because I'm used to it), and I tend to start rushing, which means I lose interest in the story that way because I don't allow it time to develop. Equally, there is nothing as deflating as seeing the "new post" marker next to a story you've enjoyed, hoping for a new part, and finding it to just be half a dozen responses that barely make a paragraph between them.

I guess it's very much a case of each to our own!

Totally agree, each writer works at their own pace. Important thing is that both parties (reader and author) enjoy it!

I totally agree. I know I got lost in one of my stories, but I liked the other and this one has few comments so I don't feel like posting stories anymore. I put too much effort to express what I want to tell in the story, which is difficult since English is not my first language. I'm still writing but I don't feel like posting so I'm selfishly keeping them to myself.

I totally agree too since I've recently, and for the first time, posted a story with only a few comments, and none after the last chapter. I think i's important to receive such comments, especially when you start publishing. For the moment, it does not encourage me to keep on posting new chapters whereas I've read a lot more.

I've said it before and I am saying it again. I will always appreciate the effort that goes into writing a story. I may not always post a comment, but I do read the stories.

I have most of the stories from here in TheArchive and am working on adding them all. If anyone has a story that they would like to contribute to my collection, they can send it to me. Not every story appeals to me, but I still am grateful that someone has taken the time to write it.

My advice is to write for yourself and then share it with us so that we can enjoy it too, even though we don't always say so.
