Title: Standard metal braces vs Damon (self ligating)?

Just curious if you guys prefer one over the other, on yourself or on others!

For me, I much prefer the look of standard metal brackets. When I got braces recently, I specifically looked for an orthodontist that used standard metal brackets.

I never really liked colored ligatures.  I like pure stainless steel, so the self-ligating ones seem better.
