Just a quick story/fantasy
I am working on my other story still but lacking the motivation for all the “stuff”.
Instead I just wanted to write about braces!

I say "write what entertains you."  Unless you do, there's a good chance you won't be entertaining anyone else either.

Just to add my two pennyworth (as I've seen you've made a similar comment on other posts), don't worry about the "stuff". If anyone objects to the fact you're only writing about the appointments and haven't created a new universe for your characters to live in, they won't read it - just as someone who wants to just read about braces won't might get bored with a story that has lots of "stuff".

I've said in other posts that I somewhat fell out of love with writing for here, but that's just me - by and large, it's good that we have such a selection of people taking stories in all different directions. When anyone comments about writing just about braces, I always think of the first braces stories I read from M's mouthwear - braces were all that was in some of those... and look how "classic" they've become!
