Title: Orthotropics - Whats that about?
Post by: bracesdk on 08. April 2019, 21:51:26 PM
I have followed orthotropics for quite a while now.. I'm kinda interested in the appliances they use..

What your opinions about it? Any links or photos for there appliances are welcome..

I am very, very VERY sceptical of orthotropics.  look, form a "wow, thats interesting because I'm strange!" point of view, I like it.

But from a "that's a valid form of medical treatment" point of view, I'm far from sold.  In fact, I'd go as far as to say it is quackery with no place in 21st century medicine.  That guy needs to be be carefully watched, he is going to do some people both physical and psychological damage.

Theres some videos on YouTube about it if you look up mewvector orthodontics theres 3 videos of someone having treatment. I was unsure if it was a real thing to start with  it does look like a horrible treatment in my opinione

I'm no orthodontist, but you will have to go a long, long way to convince me modifying a neck brace to turn it into a "forward pull headgear" is the most efficient way of this treatment.  this guy is nuts.
