Don't you think the new webshots look sucks ??
It is more difficut when you search to check the braces and retainers because thumbnails are smaller, I don't like this red color and you can't get the original picture in another window.
Not a good idea to change.
They should instead show most recent pictures when you search the word braces or retainer like in flickr because in webshots all pics are mixed and you have to search for hours before finding the new pictures!

The color can be changed.  In the right corner, there are 3 buttons called "page options".  There you can choose red, blue or green.

If you right click on the button "full size", then you can get the original picture in another window.

Their approach is different than flickr.  But if you choose a subcategory, like for example "family", then you can choose now too the most recent pictures.  About 600 of the most recent posts.  See "browse", choose a category, and then "most recent in ...".

I have more problems though with the speed.  It is now some 2 weeks that most of the time, webshots is quite slow.  At least to me.

I agree.. it takes ages for the pictures to load. The former layout was better for picture-eaters like us..

And "most recent" really isn't. Even when you click "most recent", the albums can still be months old, and they're not listed in date-order. They skip around, from August, to March, to July, etc.

Webshots says it will have this functionality in place "by the end of the year"(!!)

Speed has been an issue for me, as well, but otherwise it is mostly the layout that has changed.  The functionality is still there and the search by date feature will be an excellant addition when the time comes.  The slightly smaller thumbnails are no big deal...you couldn't see braces in the bigger thumbs anyway.  I am confident they will get the bugs worked out.

The one thing I do miss is that there is no indication of how large the origional picture is without clicking the link.

I'm still dealing with a 56k and it has really become impossible to use it right now. Even flickr is faster that W now..
