I've read several of her books and found them very interesting, even if not very believable.  will have to check this out

I have read several of her books. They are on the border between fiction and fantasy. Her latest book is pretty good and is meant for the mature teen and older market. There are some parts that are believable and some that are more wishful thinking.

Nobody uses full banded brackets except on the molars, anymore. The chairs sound like fun, but are just good fantasy bordering on fetish. Most of the treatment methods are actually used, just not to the extent she uses them.

I think that seeing a mental health professional before having treatment might do some of us a lot of good. I probably fall into that category.

My opinion is that just like all good books, there is enough in it to enjoy. Just don't believe everything you read is real.

I've enjoyed most of the adult-themed Aimes books. Her big downsides are (a) she REALLY needs a good copy editor for her typos, and (b) she sometimes mixes in non-braces related fetish stuff that seems out of place.

Her books that I've enjoyed, ranked:

1. Notwithstanding Braces
2. Bracing Times with Cecilia
3. Braced in Wedlock
4. Love and Braces
5. Living the Braced Fantasy

I agree that some (most?) of the treatments are fanciful, and the scenarios are often unrealistic. I'm okay with that, especially since she's the only game in town.

I am on the fence about the newest book. I'm sure I'd enjoy reading about the mother's braces experience, but the daughter part holds zero interest for me.
