last night
« on: 16. October 2017, 06:24:21 AM »
Last night I put on my fake braces and went out into the city. It was a nice evening so I ordered beef stew and a beer an outdoor cafe. I find a seat between stylish men in nice shirts and expensive watches. A woman in high heals walked by and dropped a credit card onto the cobblestone road not far from me. Her long acrylic nails made hard for her to grasp the card which had fallen onto the one flat spot of marble curb. This woman seems to put a lot of work into making herself sexy. Often I envy the ambiguity woman are afforded between sexuality and style.  I guess some animal part of my brain is is trying to be sexy too, smiling and flashing my metal brackets every once and a while. But her heels and nails just aren't my thing. To be honest, heels are boring and long nails are disgusting. As a man am I suposed to like heels and nails? Maybe braces are disgusting to her.  My hardcore feminist mother would say men coerce woman to wear heals and nails. -I'm not so sure. The woman in leggings, running shoes and no makeup sitting at the far end of the bar seems confident, and at home, and way more attractive to me.  Are the shoes and nails a fetish to this woman who struggles to pick up her card?  Dose she get a buzz out of this situation? Like I get a buzz out of getting the spinach from my stew tangled in my expander? Who's watching who? Dose it matter?

Thank you for this excellent prose. I really enjoyed reading it - especially the questions posed at the end. I've never thought about the inherent sexuality in long nails for women, and the comparison between the challenges of wearing braces and those of having long nails made me realize how the two can be similar. It gives me a bit of a comparison for attempting to understand my animal brain's thought processes  ;)

Everybody has something that turns them on, either emotionally or sexually.

When I put on my coveralls to do work around our place, it turns my wife on. In the past she has taken pictures of me wearing them. The pictures are not sexual at all, but she is turned on by it.

There are many things that turn me on. Braces are at the top of my list. When my wife had braces, I was in a constant state of arousal. I could spend lots of time kissing her, more then she was ready for. I was looking through some pictures that we took while she had braces, and some of the things about the pictures that stood out for me were: The shoes she had on, the clothes she wore, in some she had dyed her hair, some it was as simple as how she was standing.

There were times when we were shopping, we would be in different parts of the store. I would turn the corner and see this hot looking woman down the isle. When she turned around, it was my wife.

What turned me on? Many things. It was many things. Going shopping for things for her to wear can be very exciting sexually and emotionally. Just shopping for a pair of boots with a heel is enough to turn me on. Painting her nails will do it to.

I have a friend who drives transit buses. She has long nails, and has someone do her nails every few weeks. Her nails are always a work of art. It is obvious that she does it for herself.

For me, seeing a woman in braces is sexual. When my wife had braces, it was a sexual dream come true. When I got my braces, it was not a sexual experience, it was an emotional experience.

About a year and a half ago I was diagnosed with PTSD after an accident. I find that having braces has a stabilizing  effect on me at this point. My orthodontist has said that I can have my braces removed any time I want, but he does understand that at this point I am not ready. I have talked to him about making me some fake braces, and he is open to the idea.

Everyone here has an obvious interest in braces. For some of us it is more about the fantasy of having braces, others it is the appliances. Some it is having actual braces, others it is about people thinking they have braces when they are really fake. I have had both fake and real braces. For me having the real thing is better than the fake braces ever were. My wife has never really understood my fascination with braces, but she does know I have it.

My wife got braces to close a gap she had after she lost a tooth. The dentist cracked it down to the root doing a filling. She could have had a bridge put in, but they have to be replaced after a number of years. We decided to go with braces. The cost was close to same price. It was more for me than her. In the end I think we were both satisfied with result.

Go to Youtube and type in braces, you will get lots of vids. Type in heels, same thing. Instagram is the same, lots of pictures, most posted by the people of their own braces.
