Jess

I knew Jess for a long time from the club where we both played field-hockey. She was fine built and athletic. She always played and flirted with the guys around, but she never seemed to get involved in a relationship. In my mind Jess was way out of my league and being not very experienced in love, I only looked at her.

It was since a few months that I saw Jess regularly at the end of the afternoon at the supermarket close to my home. After weeks with looks, smiles and a shyly: “hi”, we had some small talk. It became clear that the supermarket was on her way home from work.

Then one Saturday, while I was sitting at the bar at the hockey club, I saw Jess and her team coming in after winning their match. Jess was one of the best players of her team and she was fooling around with her teammates. When I heard her talking, I thought to hear a lisp and when I took a better look, I saw some silver glittering in her mouth. After a while they all sat down and when Jess saw me, she smiled widely, showing definitely some silver in her mouth. As we were to far apart to talk, I grabbed my phone and send her a message: “you… braces???”

Almost immediately after I hit the send-button, she took her phone to look the incoming message. Then she smiled even more widely, showing shiny braces on her lower jaw. When she opened her mouth I also saw some silver behind her front teeth.
“You like what you see?” came back as a response.

May be it was because of the few beers I’ve had, but I replied in a way I never could have expected from myself regarding my love-life and my experience in relations: “Yeah, you look so cute and sexy with the braces.”

“Thanks? Want to see more?”

Completely unaware of my comfort zone and not thinking about my reply, I sent back: “Yes and close up please ????”.

Within moments Jess stood up and grabbed something from her bag, that I couldn’t see. Three seconds later she was right in front of me. She smiled meekly, showing small hints of the magical silver in her mouth, when she said: “Tho you like giwlth with bwatheth?”

I was a little overwhelmed by her directness and her enormous lisp, so I just froze and stared at her; my normal reaction when a nice girl said something nice to me.
But Jess didn’t wait for me to wake from my frozen state and continued: “Tho you wanted to thee a clothe up of my bwatheth? You mutht be wondewing why I have thuch a big lithp. Well, the lithp is cauthed by thith tongue cwib”. At that moment she opened her mouth and I got a clear view of a huge tongue crib. I didn’t see many tongue cribs before and I never saw one in real life, but the one in Jess’s mouth seemed bigger than I had ever seen on videos.

Still smiling with a cheeky wink in her eyes, she said: “Nithe  ithn’t it? It might take thome time to get uthed to, but I think it’th worth the thacwifithe.”
I still couldn’t believe what I saw or what I heard, so without waiting for my response Jess kept going. “They although gave me thith one. What do you think? Do I thtill look cute and sexy with this?”

And before I was well aware what was happening, Jess shove a facebow in her mouth and connected a neckstrap. The facebow fitted so nice between her lips and didn’t hinder her lips at all, like it always have been there.

“How do you think I look with thith headgeaw?”, she smiled before she bent over and gave me a little kiss on my cheek.

Again I was overwhelmed, but Jess doesn’t seem to care. While I silently looked to her and thought about what just happened, Jess ordered two beers. She acted like she had no braces at all and she didn’t seem to care about people staring at her.

It wasn’t before long that the two beers were in front of her and she passed one over to me: “cheewth,” she said: “to giwlth with bwatheth”.

After I took a big gulp, I regained myself and dared to say: “You seem not to be embarrassed by your braces, do you?”

At the same time Jess’s glass hit her facebow, causing her to spoil some beer.
“Thhit. Dwinking ith altho diffewent. You thee, I only got thethe bwatheth thith mowning, tho I think I will have thome embawwaththing thituationth coming up,“ following with a response to my question: “Why thhould I be embawwassed by bwatheth? Othewth weaw glaththeth, ow a catht, ow a fake leg, tho what’th the point with bwatheth?”

I had no answer to that, but could only admire Jess for her braveness.

The beer started to make me less nervous and soon we were chitchatting and fooling around. There seemed to be a nice chemistry between us. When it got crowdy Lucy, the 60 year old bartender couldn’t keep up and not before long several guys were shouting for beer.

Without hesitation Jess said to me: “Come on, let’th give Luthy a hand” and she pulled me through the crowd towards the entrance of the bar.
Again without any embarrassment about her braces Jess acted behind the bar, handing out beers, making jokes and never gave any reaction to a comment about her braces, just like they didn’t exist.

At one point, when I needed to go behind her at the narrow bar, I couldn’t avoid touching her and felt her tight muscular ass, while she leaned forward. She turned her head and joked: “That wath thcawy, wathn’t it, touching a giwlth athth. If you thtay nithe to me, I might let you touch even mowe.”

Then a little later, while I was leaning forward and Jess was just next to me, reaching out to a customer, I felt her body getting closer and closer to me, until her face was next to mine. She turned her face and gave me a little kiss on my cheek, while she pushed the metal of her facebow into the soft tissue of my cheek and whispered: “I don’t know if you want to thee mowe of me, but I definitely want to thee and tathte mowe of you….”

Part 2

With my background with no women involved in my life, I didn’t know what to think of Jess. Obviously she was one of the girls that my friends would be jealous of, but the same time I was thinking that Jess was playing games with me.
And then her braces. To my opinion, she was damned hot with the braces, but the way she handled it, was bizarre. She didn’t seem to be embarrassed by them and she acted like headgear was a commodity, just like glasses.

My mind was working at high speed and changing within moments. On one hand I knew I had to act, as it seems clear that this was my chance to get “in the picture” by Jess, at the other end I was completely uncertain how to act towards girls and afraid of being put down by her, now or in the future.

When the rush hour behind the bar slowed down, both Jess and I grabbed a beer and left for the terrace, enjoying the sunset. I saw Jess’s sparkling eyes looking at me and searching for my eyes. When I looked back with a puzzled face, she said: “What? I’m jutht looking at you. I think you awe a nithe guy. I know nowmally only guyth awe allowed to check out and judge the giwlth, but today it’th the othew way awound and am I checking out the guyth and ethpethially you. You wewe on my wadaw fow a long time and thinthe we often thee each othew hewe and in the thupewmawket, I leawned to know you ath a weally nithe guy. I know you awe thingle and I know you awe a hawd wowking guy and I think I want to find out if I can be a pawt in that life ath well.”

I couldn’t believe what I just heart. Was this hot girl seriously interested in me? It took some time to let it sink in, causing me just to stare right in front of me.

“Hello…. Awe you thtill thewe?” I heart vaguely, getting me back on this world.

“Yes…. Uh…. I…. uh… uh…” I stammered, still overwhelmed by the words she just said.

Then Jess smiled widely revealing some silver, saying: “Thith ith exthactly what I like in you. You awe tho natuwal and you awe not fake. I bet you nevew exthpected to heaw fwom me what I jutht thaid, did you?”

In the meantime I regained my mind and replied: “Are you serious? I mean, you can get any guy in the world and you are looking for me? Are you sure you are not messing around and playing games?”

Jess looked down, not knowing what to say. Obviously she didn’t expect the reaction I just gave her.

“I’m sorry,” I said: “I shouldn’t have said that, but I am too overwhelmed. Honestly, in my wildest dreams I would have never expected, or hoped, that a nice girl like you would be interested in me. You are clearly five steps ahead of me.”

“Don’t wowwy,” Jess said: “I am dead theriouth. You might think I have been in welationthhipth all the time and fucking awound evewy guy I thee, but in fact I am not that expewienthed in love and in fact it thcawed the thhit out of me to thay what I jutht thaid to you. Actually you awe the fiwtht pewthon evew I’ve told thomething like thith”.

“I wanted to tell you, but I wath thcawed to be tuwned down. And by the way a thupewmawket ith not that womantic, but when you texthted that I looked cute and thexy with thethe bwatheth, I took the plunge.” And saying this, Jess bent over and gave me a kiss on my mouth. It was a short kiss, but I definitely felt the metal of her facebow between my lips, causing some parts of my body to react.

By that time some of our joint friends were calling out for us to head home.

“We bettew get going, befowe they find out what’th going on”  Jess said and jumped up.

As usual we cycled home in a big group and of course Jess and I managed to cycle next to each other. Every now and then someone left the group and so did Jess when we passed her home. As the group continued there was no time for another quick kiss, but Jess’s smile was unforgettable.

When I came home I stored my bike and when I got inside my apartment, and emptied my pockets, I saw I had a new message: “Hope to see you soon and hope we can get to know each other better. XX Jess “

This was definitely a good sign and I answered her message with a thumbs up and a smiling face before I hurried to get some food in my system after all those beers.

The rest of the evening I was restless, thinking about what just happened. Was it real? I still couldn’t believe that THE hot Jess was interested in me, but hey… let’s give it a try.

Thanks for the first parts - sounds nice!

But PLEASE reduce ort stop the lisp writing - it's nearly impossible to read and crashes the complete storyline!

We'll have to agree to disagree on this. I think s399140's lisp writing is very good and the fact that sometimes you have to reread something to work out what Jess is saying replicates real life in written form.

I agree to these words. I appreciate to read the lisps parts, despite english is not my native language. I sometimes requires some efforts to re-read the sentence but it's true it's kind of like the real life.

As a writer, the question to lithp or not to lisp is always a big question, and as we just saw, there's probably an even split for and against lithping.

Writing in lithp mode ith actually not tho eathy... I uthually write in "normalethe", then go back and "lithpify" it... all of which takes time... one way to get around it is to set the thene with lithping, then do a <lisp mode off>.

As ever, it's personal preference, and 100% up to the writer, and what THEY want to do. As a reader, if you don't like the lisping, then you know what to do.... (ah, maybe you don't: don't complain, be glad someone new is actually writing a braces story. And if that doesn't work for you, then just don't bother reading the story!)

Interestingly, there are some writers here - as well as some specific stories by certain writers - that I just find "hard to read" for a variety of reasons, so I don't. I also know that some of my own stories are a LOT more popular than others, so clearly others are walking that same path!

Nevertheless... whether I read your stories or not: thank you for writing them, and keep writing them!

I like to say that it is up to the writer what they put in the story and how they use it in the story. It is impossible to write anything that everyone will like.

Please write what you want to read and share it with us. A story should have more to it than just the braces. Every writer has things they like beyond the braces. It may be glasses, hair color, hair length, or an article of clothing such as high-heeled shoes or rollerskates.

If you like lisping, put it in, though I do suggest trying to make it easy to understand what the character is saying.

It is always appreciated when new people add stories to the growing collection of stories in TheArchive and to the Forum.

Hi all,

I understand that it's sometimes hard to understand what some one is saying, while lisping. In my opinion it is a (big) part of the braces experience. When lisping in real life, is sometimes is also hard to understand people :)

But.... in every comment is something thruth, so let's try to find a way to get the stories "readable" for all of us.

For the bigger parts of lisping I will put the lisping in the "main story", because in my opinion it is part of the story, but I will ad a translation, so it is easier to read, for those who want.

Part 3

The Monday after the weekend I had to do some programming to finish a project. I made big progress during the morning and during my lunch I was wondering if Jess would wear her headgear to work as well. Actually I wouldn’t be surprised if she did.

After lunch I got stuck in programming. Somewhere I made a mistake, but I couldn’t find the cause, getting me behind my schedule. Time flew by while I was trying to find a solution and I was awakened by the sound of an incoming message on my phone.

It was Jess: “No supermarket today?  :(

I looked at the time and saw that I had spend the afternoon getting nowhere further and I had to continue in the evening to try to get the project finished, so I replied: “No… work…. Have to continue tonight to get something finished. I’ll order something from Uber later.”

As soon as I hit the send-button I realized there was nothing friendly in my message, so I send a second one: “Sorry, was a little rude…  :-[ How was your day? Did you manage your first day of working wearing braces?”

It wasn’t before long that another beep sounded: “Too bad that I don’t see you then  :( Work was … let’s say… interesting. See you soon?”

I continued work, not yet thinking about ordering some food yet. Just when I thought I found my mistake the doorbell rang. I quickly pushed some buttons and saved my progress before I hurried to the front door.

When I opened the door I saw Jess. She stood shyly in front of my door, wearing a simple dark blue dress and pink sneakers. The straps of her backpack, probably carrying her laptop, accentuated her small but firm breast nicely, but my attention was caught by her shy smile around her silver facebow.

“I thought that If you wath going to owdew thome food, I might cook fow you inthtead, while you can continue wowking. I have to cook for mythelf anyway, tho it doethn’t mattew to cook fow two, doeth it?”

“I thought that if you was going to order some food, I might cook for you instead, while you can continue working. I have to cook for myself anyway, so it doesn't matter to cook for two, does it?”

It was then when I saw a bag of groceries on the ground. Again Jess had surprised me and I stammered: “Ehhhh … I …. Uh … wow …. I didn’t see that one coming. What a nice surprise. No one ever did that for me… Please, come in…”

I saw the relief on Jess’s face and while she picked up the bag with groceries, she said: “I’ve bought thome thingth to make you a lathagna. Do you like that?”

Jess quickly found her way to the kitchen and while I was figuring out my mistake. It was about twenty minutes later that Jess emerged from the kitchen, bringing some plates, glasses and so on, to the dining table that up to now has acted as a desk.

“Can you pleathe make thome woom, tho I can lay the table?”

Jess said and quickly I shove my papers in a pile and set my laptop to the side. Soon after laying the table Jess returned to the kitchen and returned with a bottle of white wine.

“If you can open the wine, I’ll bwing the lathagna.”

Two minutes later Jess sat at the opposite side of the table.

Jess made us a great meal and the wine was perfect. I saw she had some difficulties getting the food in her mouth, so I said: “Why don’t you take out the headgear, or are you supposed to wear it all time?”

Jess looked up and said: ”Well, of couwthe I can take them out, you thaw me without headgeaw latht Thatuwday, didn’t you? But I thought you liked my bwatheth and ethpethially my headgeaw, tho I dethided to leave it in.”

“Oke, it’s your choice, but probably it is easier to eat and drink without it.”

“I think you’we wight. If it’th up to me thewe will be a lot of momentth in the futuwe whewe you can enjoy my bwatheth.”

Then Jess was fumbling in the back of her mouth before pulling the facebow out and she left it between us on the table, giving me a clear view. In fact it was just a normal facebow, but it had some safetyclasps. That must have been the reason for the fumbling.

“Why do you have braces, actually? Your teeth look fine to me, but of course I’m not an expert.”

“Becauthe I wanted them,” was the simple reply.

“Ok, I understand, but what’s wrong with your teeth or jaws?”

“Nothing,” Jess said with a wide smile and twinkle in her eyes: “I jutht went to a new owthodontitht in town and told him that I wanted lowew bwacketth, a huge tongue cwib and cewvical headgeaw. He examined my mouth and he dithcovewed nothing wwong tho he could wowk out thome bwatheth that wouldn’t cauthe pwoblemth to my mouth.
It ith a new thuwgery with a lot of new technologieth. They made a thcan of my mouth and head and I had to do thome thpeak exerthitheth inthtead of the old fathhioned moldth and X-wayth.
In that way he got a good thwee D-computew model, not only of my mouth, but of my whole head, tho he could pwoduthe the bwatheth and pwepawe the headgeaw. That’th why it fitth tho nithely.”

“Nothing,” Jess said with a wide smile and twinkle in her eyes: “I just went to a new orthodontist in town and told him that I wanted lower brackets, a huge tongue crib and cervical headgear. He examined my mouth. and he discovered nothing wrong so he could work out some braces that wouldn’t cause problems to my mouth.
It is a new surgery with a lot of new technologies. They made a scan of my mouth and head and I had to do some speak exercises instead of the old fashioned molds and X-rays.
In that way he got a good 3D-computer model, not only of my mouth, but of my whole head, so he could produce the braces and prepare the headgear. That’s why it fits so nicely.”

Again this marvelous women got me silent. Did she really say that she wears braces, without any medical or esthetical reason, but just because she wanted braces?

I couldn’t believe what I just heard, but I was sure this woman will amaze me over and over in the future.
