Title: How many of you have fake braces for your wife or GF?

Just curious, how many of you have had fake braces made for your wife or GF? Mine has hawley retainers, full metal braces which I switch out the power chains on every once in a while and a full set of ceramic braces, which I find oddly attractive as well. Since we are in our 40's the ceramic seems a bit more believable in a way, but the metal look wonderful on her as well.

So have you had braces made for you wife/GF? If so what?

That sounds like an amazing set of toys. My wife has often talked about getting her teeth straightened - she has a slightly protruding incisor and her front teeth are tilted back slightly - but we've never had the spare cash to get her braces, which I'm sure she'd prefer to a fake set :-)
Here's hoping for a windfall!

I just made a set of fakes for my girlfriend and they look amazing! We're having fun with them. Three of the brackets already popped off though, I'm so disappointed. She only got to wear them a couple of times for me. Someone I know that has made fakes gave me an idea to try and fix them, but if I can't I'll have to send them back for repair.

I'd love to see pics of your girl wearing her braces! I'll post mine soon.

My wife will be getting her braces off by the end of the year, initially I'm looking forward to hawley retainers. Though I intend to get the retainer style (not essix) fake braces, probably from braces shop

My wife has them. She actually started with fakes way back in 2011, then had real braces from 2017-2019, and now is back in fakes. Hers are made on Essix-style trays and look very convincing.

I made the fakes myself from essix retainers. Has anyone figured out how to do headgear tubes?

That's a tough one, but I've modded facebows to work without tubes. Quite sturdy, actually.

It sounds like your wife really enjoys her braces. How did the idea of her wearing fakes come about?

She's actually totally neutral on braces. She just likes that I like them on her. I got her the first set of fakes for that reason, and things just kind of went from there.
