Maybe I missed something, but I just can't understand why so many people do video tutorials about making fake retainer at home (out of paper clips, wax, rubber bands, etc.). Do you know the meaning of it?

In my opinion there are two reasons:
1. Since they are mostly kids, they want atract some attention and don't know how - they want to be unique.
2. They may be like us.

I wonder how many people on this site made their own fakes before they either got "real" fakes or real braces?
