Dream ortho treatment for your significant other
« on: 27. December 2017, 22:36:32 PM »
So this is definitely a fictional question but I am curious...
Lets say your significant other is about to undergo orthodontic work and when that day arrives and your significant others name is called and taken back and placed in the chair which the Dr. then approaches you and says "our ortho methods are completely arbitrary here meaning YOU get to render and choose your significant others treatment/appliances w/o them knowing. What's it gonna be?"

I'd request for the molars and premolars to be banded, definitely a lower expander and Herbst appliance on both sides though I'd find it hard to choose between a metal RPE or a quad helix with a plastic plate (like this girl's https://dereferer.me/?https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=PLKOYGpVXKj-_QgASDPyWIhrr-973WTqG3&t=315s&v=Y6BiTpGb4X0 )
I'd ask the orthodontist to fit springs between her premolars and canines, also canines and lateral incisors to give her more overjet. I'd hope this would continue until her front brackets were visible even when she tried to close her mouth.
Later on in the treatment, I'd like the Herbst removed and a strict regimen of elastics - lots of triangles zigzagging from her back teeth and a box elastic on the front.
When she has nice gaps from the springs, I'd keep everything in place with twisted wire ligatures across the top teeth and a powerchain (maybe pink) across the bottom

Honestly, while it'd be great for her to have a variety of unusual and visible appliances, I think I'd really just prefer standard metal braces --- something acceptable, not that weird, and just a simple shiny addition to her smile!

I'd ask for her to start with an activator or twin block for a few months. After that, full braces with a herbst appliance and then combo headgear. The last part of the treatment would involve heavy power chains and elastics. After completing treatment with braces, she would get upper and lower hawley retainers.

I think that many people would have a different opinion of what they would have done if one of the conditions of treatment was that you would be treated with the same devices at the same time.

Since I myself enjoy wearing braces, and have worn fakes in the past, I would go with full bands top and bottom. Elastics for most of the treatment to shift the teeth into place. Powerchains right from the start of the treatment. I would require colored elastics and powerchains the whole time.

I would have Hawley retainers top and bottom for the completion phase of the treatment.

Mine would be both of us wearing full bands.  I would have double expanders and a tongue crib. My wife would have a  forsus springs and both of us headgears 24/7 for 5 years.

I guess i'd say braces with a lip bumper, tongue crib, and headgear, kept in as long as possible. Then retainers of course after all the metal is removed.

Yes. Unhidable headgear and bright lip bumper for all to see and make you feel embarrassed :)

Start with a twin block. After that metal braces combined with an upper expander and herbst. A lot of powerchains and elastics of course. After some time cervical headgear 20 hours a day. And when finished upper an lower hawley.

Full metal braces with the double archwire method top and bottom with fixed RPE top and fixed expander bottom and a fixed Herbst appliance connecting the two expanders. The bottom expander has bitelates on each side covering back 3 molars. Then she will get top and bottom thick rubber lipbumpers in a brownish tan color. To Finnish it off she will obtain an old fashioned leather combination headgear attached to a fixed oversized fixed facebow with a metal bitelate attached to the innerbow.

After wearing the removable expansion retainers she would get fixed expander top and bottom.
Upper RPE would have a very large tongue crib positioned farther back and extra wide extra tall for full effect and high visability

Switch to twin block appliances
Upper plate made super thick to fill the whole roof and incorporate an expansion screw in each appliance, both having a wire across the front teeth but still having an enormous tongue crib for full visibility as she speaks.

I would now move to fixed expanders top and bottom with large tongue crib, adding a Herbst with steel crowns on top back molars and lower bicuspid. I would turn the expander key myself

I like that ^ "Bracesluvr" I would very much enjoy holding her hand for comfort especially when her embarrassment peaks when she tries to talk and it's all a heavyset lisp then sheer fear/humiliation when the vast headgear with heavy leather strap is installed then the high anxiety when she is told it's being wired in ????

classic metal braces on top and lower jaw with 2 molar bands each side, a tpa and bite turbos, which will cause a significant lisp. later at first two then up to fife elastics for at least one year ;D

I wish to now remove the top and bottom expanders and take out the tongue crib and Herbst
We now move forward with a big and very bulky activator style bionator type 1 piece upper and lower appliance worn full time except eating time. Full plastic feeling over her whole mouth for a bit before we move on

@Bracesluvr

You should write a story about what you would like to have done to your S/O. You already have the outline laid out in your posts. The story could be as short as a couple pages or as long as a novel.

Hey "Braceface2015" that's not a bad idea. You could  talk about how your (significant) is going for an Ortho treatment so you set her up with a friend who does Ortho work for a great deal on a count of life long friendship. Significant is unaware and you are there to comfort her/him through what would be the most INTENSE and HARFCORE heavyduty orthodontia imaginable! You could have a killer time putting this story together and elaborating on all the heavy Ortho gear she/he will be forced to submit to.

Story Name "Heaven For Me Hell For Her"    lol

The 1 piece appliance is upper and lower combined as 1 thick acrylic appliance. I want it clear or pink clear so it “ blends in better”
I want her speech affected but the illusion that it’s barely noticeable.
She will spend a week or 2 getting comfortable with her new appliance. She stops trying to hide it and smiles like normal showing her mouthfull of plastic everyday as she talks and works while wearing it.
She hardly even notices it anymore after several months of full time wear. I am in heaven now.
She has no idea I had it made way bigger than usual, she is happy that it progresses to new treatment after the rounds of full mouth fixed appliances that were very hard to get used to. She has no clue that I have many more appliances getting made just for her

I know what you mean about her dealing with it, getting used to it and hardly noticing it any more.
Im not sure why, but its that sort of thing that really attracts me.

I have never done that. Anyway, its impossible to eat with it in.
I wear it all night sometimes.
I often wear my bite plate all day and, until I had a tooth out, I wore fake retainers for about 4 or 5 years non stop. They leave an odd gap now that means that food gets trapped.

Where does the gap come from
Did your fake retainer have a fake tooth to hold the place?

No. I had a molar taken out so there is a gap, second to back. When I wear the retainer the space is more pronounced as it is then surrounded on three sides. On two sides of the gap there are existing teeth and on the third side there is the plastic plate. so food gets trapped there. I do still wear it but not full time as I did.
Its not noticeable as it is near the back but I really want to get one with a tooth on it to fill the space. It will then be a partial denture of course. I can wear it legitimately rather than as a fake. I am not sure if that would change my feelings about wearing it. I don't think so.

My dream treatment for my wife would primarily entail a LONG treatment time. 5 years at least, with complications arising and perhaps leading her to switch orthodontists in the middle of treatment. As for specific appliances, I'd like to see her in all-metal brackets with old school rubber ligs or even wire ties. A period of time spent in combination and then cervical headgear, as well. Some kind of bite plate would add a nice new dimension and obstruction to get speech.

Very nice. That would be the ultimate dream come true to be in that glorious position of being placed in an extremely rigid and restrictive Milwaukee brace and then undergoing heavy orthodontic treatment of full bands, Herbst, LipBumper, biteplate and fixed headgear :)

Digging out this old post sorry!..

Loveee the idea mentioned above of being chairside holding her hand at appointments whilst she’s fitted out with more and more intrusive appliances. Such a rush! I’d like the idea of choosing what she wears too, putting her in short skirts for all her appointments for that added feeling of exposure lying there with the cheek retractor in.

She’d start out wearing Invisalign because she’s self conscious about being back in braces in her late twenties. But after ten months with little progress is advised to switch to full metal braces.

She’s fitted with basic brackets and elastics from her upper incisors to lower molars to pull her lower jaw forwards…

The ortho suspects her overbite is going to be stubborn and after a few months persevering with the elastics routine she’s fitted a twinblock appliance. While it’s removable she’s ordered to wear the bulky plastic appliance full time except for brushing. It forces her lower jaw open and forward awkwardly and makes it difficult to close her lips over the brackets. The plastic blocks are also clearly visible whenever she opens her mouth to speak or smile. She’s self conscious about her new look, and the lisp caused by the acrylic obstruction to her tongue which she never really gets over. But wears her appliances diligently doing exactly what she’s been instructed by the orthodontist.

Six months into the twinblock treatment she’s fitted with upper and lower lip bumpers. Her mouth is starting to fill up now and she finds it basically impossible to hide her orthodontia so actually sort of gives in to it. Accepting it as her ‘signature look’. She still feels awkward but just decides to own being that awkward girl in her late twenties with the mouthful of massive braces.

One year after being fitted with the lip bumpers the ortho suggests she could make another appliance for her to wear at night that may speed up correcting her bite. She has reservations but she decides to go for it. She’s already a full braceface now so why not, how bad can it be? Besides it’s only at night so she won’t have to see anyone apart from me!

Introducing the open mouth activator with fixed facebow.

Impressions are made and she turns up to her next appointment to be presented with her new device after having it described to her previously as “like a mouth guard to hold your jaws in place in the night”

It’s like the twinblock she’s already wearing, in the same translucent reddish pink acrylic polished to a high shine. Only the blocks between her jaws are bigger and fused together to hold her jaws wide open in the ‘ideal position’ to correct her bite. She’s unable to fully close her mouth whilst wearing it so to stop her tongue from jutting out through the gap between her upper and lower jaws there is a large metal tongue crib. The facebow is fixed permanently to the adams clasps on her upper molars which attaches to a combination headgear in tan leather with small silver buckles to adjust it around her head and neck. It looks like some sort of medical BDSM device! The facebow along with the upper lip bumper she’s already wearing now permanently prop up her top lip showing off her brackets.

She cries quietly as the orthodontist sits her on a stool infront if a full length mirror whilst she buckles the headgear up for the first time and explains her weartime schedule of at least twelve hours per day.

She had imagined a small night guard that she’d pop in when she got into bed not this huge contraption!

The same as when the twinblock was first installed she’s a good girl and she wears the activator religiously, even wearing it through the day on the days she works from home and fastening it in as soon as she gets in from the office on the other days wearing it through till morning only taking it out to eat and brush. It takes a bit of encouragement but she’ll even put it in when we have friends round sometimes. She can’t speak clearly with it in but despite her anxiety over the terrible lisp and the way she looks, she manages.

The twelve hour routine is a lot to put up with but the activator gets the job done. After twelve months of strapping it on every day, the orthodontist finally tells her she’s done with fixing her bite and no longer needs the activator, or the bulky twinblocks either.

Now it’s just the braces and the lip bumpers. She finds it weird being able to close her teeth together without the plastic surfaces clacking together keeping her jaws apart and actually takes a while adjusting her speech and the way she smiles.

She wears a collection of different elastics power chains and springs whilst the orthodontist adds the final touches to her smile but after just over three years, the braces are removed.

To make sure her old habits don’t come back her retainer is a twinblock appliance with a tongue crib. And the icing on the cake, her old buckle up leather headgear. The facebow is removable this time and she’s instructed to wear the plastic appliances full time for six months with the headgear only at night. Then after that it’s the plastic appliances and headgear every night plus any other time she’s comfortable with from there on. She’s upset about the crib, the blocks and the headgear because it means wearing bulky, embarrassing, lisp inducing appliances every night for the rest of her life, but I’m not complaining as I buckle her into her facebow!
Braces, bare feet, ball gags and bondage!

Unless this specific person has an overbite/deepbite, I will "help" to achieve this then, with the braces and appliances. So first of all, this person will get molar and premolar bands, will get RPE in the upper and lower jar, a biteplate in the upper jaw, a Herbst Appliance, a tounge crib (for ultimate lisp), and a (highpull) headgear. For more metal, we could fit a TPA in, some temporary anchorage devices(TADS), and a nice and big lip bumper.

Then I would always change sth. like the pressure the braces do, and when to wear it in the whole treatment time. Treatment time: about 8 years

Guys, for real, this is MAXED out, isn't it?

I have taken also some ideas from other people, like the molar...-bands.

Greetings, Crow
