Dental chair of your dreams!
« on: 11. July 2022, 06:47:45 AM »
How is the dental chair of your dreams looking like? Old? New? Red?black?
And the office? How the orthodontist and team look like?

Post some pic of the chair of your dreams and maybe a description of the ortho clinic! :)

Mine would be old style like this

Probably just a single chair in the room and same color for the forniture around.
The dentist and the team would be like the chair, mature and all around 55/60.
Loaded with knowledge but refusing to step in the new technology.

In all my fantasies I always use the same chair, which I designed myself for full compliance. It's mostly normal from the neck down (with the exception of wrist and ankle cuffs), but around the head is a rig of metal bars instead of the typical head-piece of a regular orthodontic chair. It's essentially a metal cage that goes around the patient's head whilst leaving the face open. There is a ring that secures the forehead area, reinforced with vertical metal bars with pins applying pressure to the temples to completely immobilise the head (similar to a halo headgear), whilst gyroscopic bearings at the base of the skull can be used by the orthodontist to freely move the patient's head 360 degrees. Then there is a jawpiece of two parallel metal bars that goes around the entire jaw and which attaches to the larger rig and can move vertically up to 30 degrees. It's attached to the jaw by a chin cup as well the same pins as the ones at the temples pressed against the back of the jaw on each side, which apply enough pressure to it so as to immobilise it and give all control to the orthodontist. This complete powerlessness of the patient to resist is meant to ensure 100% compliance and eliminate any inconveniences even in regular patients.
