Can dental impressions be made not so breakable?
« on: 27. March 2020, 03:22:52 AM »
I do have a set of very old ones out of white plaster or something like that.  If I were to get new impressions, could I have them made out of something stronger?  Like acrylic or metal?  I would be afraid of them getting broken in transit if I shipped them to braces shop to have a new retainer made for my impressions.  That's if I can get them from my dentist.

I've thought about using something like that resin that people pour into molds to make jewelry and stuff. I wonder if it would shrink though and make the impression useless.
