Yes, you certainly want to be reading the stories on the club pages on this site. You need to join, if you are not a member already.
Maybe you could write one as well.

You've probably seen it before, but there are some braces stories of varying quality here: http://anonym.to/?http://everyoneweb.com/braces. Some of them go WAY back, like almost 20 years.

I haven't reread them in years, but I always liked:

Andrea (mainly because I wrote it about a real event ;D)
Boardroom Introduction
Friends
Just Wanted Them

Good choices. Andrea is a great story - love how you describe the situation.

Thanks! It certainly was a fun night, and it's a great memory. I'm glad I wrote about it at the time. Strange to think it was over 15 years ago!

I still do quite a bit of writing about braces, though I don't generally publish it anywhere anymore.

Maybe I'll do that one day, jonjon. Since I've finally gotten to a whopping 30 posts here, I should be able to gain access to the Stories section. I'm not 100% sure some of my stories will be appropriate to the forum, but I guess I can figure that out once I get a look at the other stories already on the forum.

Has anyone read any of the Catherine Aimes braces fiction books? I have read a couple of them and while the stories have great promise and potential, they don't quite deliver. There are also some aspects of the more fetish based books that don't sit comfortably with me. I would be interested to hear from others that have read them.

I read "Love and Braces" recently. It kind of disappointed me in that the braces part could've been so much more interesting and so many other parts were so unrealistic. I mean, I know it's fiction, so of course it isn't real; I guess the author just... made some odd choices.

Cassandra, I agree fully. The braces parts were kind of glossed over.

I've read several Catherine Aimes books:

A Bracing Life
Braced in Wedlock
Bracing Daydreams
Bracing Times with Cecilia
Headgeared
Living the Braced Fantasy
Love and Braces
Notwithstanding Braces

She's pretty well cornered the (very niche) market on this kind of thing. I think the books are pretty good, though not great. "Bracing Times with Cecilia" and "Notwithstanding Braces" were probably my two favorites. I *really* wish Aimes would hire a copy editor, though. She always has many typos, and the increase in frequency toward the end of the book, like she's in a hurry and just wants to be done.

I'm not sure Aimes has fully wrapped her mind around braces as we see them here on this site, since she's always saying (on her blog) that she wants children/teens to read her more innocent books. But I'm also pretty sure the more adult-oriented books sell better. In the adult books, she'll often throw in unrelated fetish stuff like restraints on the exam chair and occasionally adult diapers, though I'm glad she's gotten away from the latter in recent books.

Anyway, the books are okay, and there's really very little else like them out there.

I think my favourite has to be Lucy in braces, although it is a bit difficult to read as there is very little spacing in the text.

In which stories do you think there is unrelated fetish stuff other than the restraints on the exam chair? I think mostly she descibes the procedures of the braces and the angryness of the Person getting braced.

Some of the older books had the main character wearing an adult diaper to ortho appointments. It seemed like it was just kind of thrown in there for no real reason, unless that's the author's fetish. I don't recall which books had the diaper, though. It's been a few years since I read them.

There are soon stories on ASSTR by Ortholuvr. The link to the stories is http://anonym.to/?http://nullrefer.com/?http://anonym.to/?http://www.asstr.org/files/Authors/ortholuvr/www/indexol.html

Enjoy them. There is something in them for everyone. Stories are 18+. They haven't been updated lately.

A couple are up on the bracesmemories.blogspot.com blog (scroll down right-hand side, 'mouthwear stories'). A pity it's gone really, because it's the accumulated oral tradition of the braces-loving community.

It seems that Catherine Aimes, at IntraOral Press, did a survey of the readers of her braces-related stories, to find out what they like / didn't like... it's interesting reading. You'll find it over at http://anonym.to/?http://www.intraoralpress.com/drwright/Survey_1.htm

Its an interesting discussion, whether the stories should be "hidden" in the "members area", or should be visible. Personally, I've had access to the members area for so long, that I don't think about the issues, until someone (like this thread) comments.

So, here is a question directly to Marty: why DO you feel that stories must be hidden in the members area, and not, say, here, more visibly?

I see no LEGAL reason that this should be the case, so why? As a story writer, why can't I have the choice as to whether my story is in the "restricted area" or in a "public area"? (I should add that I'm NOT including any form of "adult fiction" in this discussion: that, for good reasons, needs to be in an age-restricted area)

I 100% appreciate that BracesForum.net site belongs to Marty, and thus it is ultimately his choice as to what happens, but at the end of the day, the forum really only continues to exist in the way it does because of all the readers and contributors... so I would have thought that those people should be allowed to "influence" the way things happen.

Just my personal thoughts. It would be interesting to hear what some of the other "old timers" feel.

Marty: this is NOT any form of personal attack, I'm just trying to understand "where you are coming from".

As someone who has spent a long time collecting and looking for stories, I was thrilled to find this forum. It was a bit frustrating to have to wait to get into the stories section, but having to contribute to the forum allowed or forced me (depending on how you look at it) to help make this a better place. I don't write stories, but I do read them and try to correct spelling and formatting errors. Since I have started The Archive and have been commenting about the errors I have found, I have seen an improvement in the way the writers have been editing their work. I feel that having a place to store the work they have done is also of benefit to everyone here.

I have been providing stories to the people who have taken the time to contribute to this group. There are several people who have contributed stories to my collection, because their stories don't meet the rules for posting to the forum. I very much agree that there have to be rules for this forum, and that the owner is the one to set those rules. Some of my posts have been deleted when they are not in line with the rules, which is something I respect.

So far, the people who are complaining are the people who haven't added anything to this forum yet. If they won't help build a better forum, they don't really need to be here. No one is forcing them to be here. Look at how many members are in this group, and then look at how many are actually contributing.

I do understand what you’re saying but we are fundamentally different people. Forums like this one, or any other, all work on the same principle - a minority of content contributors and a majority of content appreciators. If you look at the stats for a site like Reddit, you can immediately see that it is a minority of users that even have an account, let alone those who actuallly create or share content. But this kind of division makes sense - there are millions of people who don’t feel comfortable speaking up, drawing attention or starting conversations.

My favourite thing about the Internet is that I can join in in a variety of ways, one of which is as a passive participant. Those kinds of users are important - they are the majority of most user bases and and they help keep the website going just like everyone else does. I think the idea of a hierarchical system when you earn access to arbitrarily locked areas by being forced to engage in ways you’re not comfortable with is unfair and elitist. Being told that I can either contribute or leave is alienating because I am not a commenter - this is not the only forum I’m active on but my participation here is very similar to on other sites. It’s the same in ‘real’ life also - I’m not the loud one, I’m not a fan of being the centre of attention and I just want to quietly sit among folks with similar interests and just be... there.

I also happen to be a writer, I love reading stories, which was one of the main things that attracted me to places like this. Were I to have access to the stories section, I might even end up being a contributor there, but I don’t want to be forced to do something that makes me feel uncomfortable so that people with a bit of power will feel that I’ve now earned admission to their club.

I really do hope that the mods here change his rule - it seems to be a majority of vocal commenters that agree that it should be changed, so perhaps we could at least get a dialogue going with them regarding their decision and our feelings. It’s nice to feel listened to and not ignored.

Polonius, I do agree with you that many people do not actively contribute to places that they have accounts. I have a facebook account which I am not very active on. I do occasionally post to it. I have an Instagram account which I am not active on. I have a Youtube account were I lurk, but do not post.

I do not complain on those accounts about not being able to access everything from everyone. Some people on Flicker have decided to keep some of their pictures private. That is their choice. Some pictures can be viewed but not downloaded.

My feelings about the rules here are simple, they are what the owner has decided they should be. If you don't want to contribute, that is your choice. I made the choice to contribute so that I could get access to the stories. I also decided that I could contribute to the story section in my own way. I am not a writer, that is not something that I am good at. What I can do is help other members to gain access to stories and improve their own collection of stories. I have had help from other members here to add to my own collection. I have also provided members here with stories for their collections. All that I have asked of them is to contribute to the group.

By commenting your feelings you have just made a contribution to this group. If we all contribute positively to the group, it will only get better. If you have any stories to contribute, please do that. Stories can be very short and still be worth sharing. As long as the story content is within the rules for the forum, they will be welcomed here. I have some stories that do not meet the rules for posting here, in my collection, that have been sent to me by members here. Those stories are available to people who have made contributions to this group.

My rules for access to my archived stories are simple. Contribute. If I don't like something that has been sent to me, I don't add it to my archive. I will send stories to anyone who has contributed to the group in a meaningful positive way. There are a few people who I do think should be given special consideration for access to the story section, but only if they are making a meaningful addition to the forum.

It is quite interesting that this debate has popped up again, and the differing viewpoints being taken. Like Sparky, I've been here long enough now to have had access to teh stories section for years (although not without Marty wanting to see a copy of my passport the first time I asked - naturally I declined!)

We are quite fortunate, in a way, that the forum has an English-speaking section, as it is set up from and based in Germany, where rules are generally much stricter than they are in the UK, and certainly so than in the US. That has a certain bearing on posts in a number of aspects, just simply because what is considered "the norm". As I understand it, Marty is responsible for the content posted here by us. We also have to take a certain degree of common sense into account: whilst there may be members here who are 14 or 15 and want to see pictures of people their own age and not just those who are in their 20s, the reverse is also true - someone in their 50s or 60s may feel very uncomfortable if they click on a link and find its a 13 year old. But I digress....

I used to post here occasionally, but I have "fallen out of love" recently. That's not to say I've stopped writing, not by a long way. It's just that my stories tend to favour my interest - where it's a male patient - and so I've angled my stories to other sites. I should cross-post a few back here, really. I've also been setting up my own Guys With Braces story archive, although sadly Google hasn't picked it up yet. I'm not sure what Marty's opinion on such adverts is, so until I get his permission, you'll have the PM me!

I can see the point in having a little bit of restriction, just to make sure people aren't coming here to suck up the stories and do nothing to the forum. However, I do wonder whether 30 posts is a bit high these days - and whether it in fact puts people off posting, because they see it as an insurmountable task? If there were to be a discussion, I would propose keeping some sort of minimum posting, but dropping it - maybe to 15 or even 10.

When the archive was first mooted I did ask for a number of stories, but I found they were, as I thought they would be, primarily female based and on occasions really not my cup of tea in terms of content, so I haven't asked for any subsequent ones. I am a little concerned though by the slightly condescending attitude that seems to be appearing with regard to people's writing styles and how they choose to write their stories. I appreciate not every one is a perfect typist - myself included - but it really isn't anyone's place other than the author to make changes to stories, or worse still (as was suggested on the German forum a while back) for others to "take over" if a person stops writing.

Finally, it is worth pointing out that for some people, especially newer members, they may not yet be comfortable with their interest. They may not have time to make postings - especially not when people with time on their hands criticize for daring to post something that is "known" because they haven't used the search function. I cannot recall the last time I posted a pic or a video because frankly, I can't be bothered with the laboriousness of it!

- posten.

Take the 2nd instance out of the link, for example in the first link get rid of the part starting with the / after 20130415095252 and ending with the ?. Remove that segment and it should work.

I don't have:

Amanda's Braces
Braces Fan
Cindy's Story
Melina
Sheila
Ted
The Last Laugh  (I am pretty sure I have this somewhere but I can't find it right now  ??? )
The Study
Tracy

I have the rest of those stories either in The Archive or in my file of stories to check through.

If anyone is able to get access to those stories from the website, please send them to me. I have tried to bring up those stories on the web, but have been unable to. I have tried several different ways, but no luck so far.

Here's the Last Laugh http://anonym.to/?http://bracesmemories.blogspot.com/p/the-last-laugh-i-was-sophomore-in.html

That site also has a few more stories you may or may not have. Scroll alllllll the way to the bottom of the page, then scroll up a bit and on the right side of the page you'll see a selection under "Mouthwear Stories".

For all the newbie's and other people who are interested:

The Archive is my personal list of stories that I have collected over the years. The stories are from many sources such as old newsgroups, old websites that are no longer active or have disappeared. Some of the stories have been sent to me by the writers here, because the stories do not meet the rules for posting in the stories section. I respect the rules that the moderators have set for the Forum.

If you want to gain access to the list of stories in The Archive, just follow the rules to gain access to the story section. Rule 1 is simple, make a contribution to this forum. Make 30 posts first. The simple way is to tell us about yourself, tell us about what you find attracts you about braces, write a story, find articles on the web about braces, find new pictures on the web for us to look at, even just respond to an active topic here. Not everyone wants to talk about themselves, and that is fine.

I am willing to share my collection with people who have made a positive contribution to the forum. I started out as a newbie. I replied to posts, I searched for pictures, movies, and stories. I made my 30 posts, and asked a few times for access. Eventually I was given access, and I have continued to contribute.

I am always adding stories to The Archive.

Dear all,

As another old-timer around here, I'd like to add the following consideration: I think at the time this board was set up, the main interest that attracted people was in finding pictures. Later on, videos came to be added. Back in the day, dozens of pictures were added by many, many different members. Although of course there always have been (and always will be) "super-posters". Stories, by contrast, could be found by the dozen on the web, already collected and ready to read. Finding and being able to read new stories, written by the members of this forum was the bonus which had to be earned. At least, that is how I've always understood Marty's policy. I agree, this is and has always been hard on newbies interested in writing stories, but (as we Germans say) you have to die a death of some kind. Maybe this has changed, at least for some people, so maybe a new system might be called for. But it's a 'maybe' IMHO.

Also, there is the consideration of story content. For a very dedicated mod like Marty it's barely manageable to edit the picture sections for undesirable (i.e. adult) content, by clicking on and thus vetting each and every single link. I don't know how he does it in the video section - maybe he can rely on youtube's own filter systems. In the stories section, this would be impossible to do even in the German-language section, let alone in a language you don't read very well. Remember, Marty would have to at least skim each and every single story. There are only so many hours even in his day. There have been offers by others to set up systems of vetting stories for public consumption for him, but so far no working system has been found. I guess we'll have to live with that.

Meanwhile, it's not all that hard to scrape together 30 meaningful posts. Just tell your own story, reply to posts, take part in polls, add pictures and videos. I, too, can be called a silent bystander and I hate being in the limelight, but I certainly didn't come by my log by consuming the work of others. And so can you. Or, to misqoute a Nobel Prize winner: Yes, you can!

Cheers,
simcaptain

I always work on the principle that the same rules (no under 18's, apart from incidentals, no forcing etc) apply in the stories area, which actually makes it fun to try and describe a "sexual encounter" with out going too far. You may have spotted that I do occasionally post "extra eposides" of stories in the "Adult" area, where I CAN go into more detail (and in fact, historically, I've posted whole stories there)

But maybe we should be able to post our stories in one of several areas, one "public" - yes, would need to be very carefully 'policed' - and one in the "club" area... leaving it up to the writer to decide which one to use.

I think Marty does a good job he must have to spend a considerable amount of time checking content. The 30 post rule is as others say really not a problem when I joined ages ago I read and posted comments on the general section and also made some comments about videos and fotos and then when i felt a bit braver I started a topic of my own and hey Presto within about 3 months a I had 35 posts up and then I asked Marty nicely for access and was granted it by the next day so no problem at all. The point of this post just to say be patient you'll get there  if I can do it any one can. PS is Polo the other mod still around? I never see anything from him thats not a criticism of you Polo just an observation

I respect the decision to keep the stories locked behind a "postwall". It convinced me to finally participate in discussions more; I feel like I'm leveling up slowly in a game working towards the final prize, haha.

While I agree with the concept, it's unfortunate when new stories get moved out of view straight-away.. guess it gives incentive to be active, but still.  :P

I feel that the minimum posting limit is fair. I do also feel that if a newbie writes a story that is moved to the stories section, that writer should be given access when the story is moved there. I do consider their contribution to the forum to be enough to get in.

When I first joined, I was looking mainly for stories. Since then I have added many stories to my collection. Some of the stories I have are  stories that were 'lost' when old groups and websites shut down. I am also adding stories that are a bit more adult to my collection. The owners of the forum have set limits on what they will allow, as is their right. There have been some story sites that have been shutdown by the legal authorities because of what they have posted. We do not want that to happen here. I also do not need to be looked at for what I have stored. If I don't think that a story is legal, I don't store it or pass it on.

There are many other sites that have stories with limited braces content, but I haven't found any that have anything like this place. This forum is unique.

I wrote this story so that all the newbies would have something to read. I figured that they needed a little push to get them going. I am not a writer, but I do know what I like. If any of the newbies want to write a story, I have just given you a good basic place to start. Write something that can fit into 'the experience room'. I have many more ideas for stories that I may write for the experience room.

There is no sex, no violence and no one was forced into anything. I didn't say if the main character was male or female on purpose. Use your imagination on that one ;D

I only touched on some of the other 'fetishes' in this story. There is plenty of room for other experiences.

I am sure that there are a few mistakes, but I did what I could to check for them.

Braceface2015

P.S. Please don't move this to the stories section. This first story is meant for the newbies as a teaser of what is in the story section.

The Experience Room

By Braceface2015

Story 1

I saw an ad on line recently from a local company looking for research subjects. They were looking for people to try a new type of virtual reality. It goes beyond any type already tried. It allows the person to feel what it is like to do something without actually having to be there.

It is part technology, part medicine and part programming. Some of it was developed by the military for use in training. Other sources are medical. Much of it has come from programmers of virtual reality games.

I applied and was told that they would like me to come in for an interview. Their office is close to where I live, so I told them that I would be there the next day.

When I arrive, they give me a stack of paperwork to fill out. They explain that because this was an experimental program, I will have to give them my input into what I would like to try. They will have a bodysuit made to fit me very much like a wet-suit, but that it will have a temperature control system built into it. The suit will have electrodes on the inside so that it can stimulate my body to feel what I am experiencing. There is no helmet, just a cover that goes over my head with plugs for the ears similar to hearing-aids and glasses with screens built into them. In order to feel the full effect, I will be given a pill that will put me into a mild hypnotic state. Everything has already been tested on it's own, but they are just starting to experiment with everything together.

It will take a while to make the full outfit, but if I am willing, they can do a trial run with the test equipment they have. I decide to go for it. I will not get the full effect, just a very mild sample.

We go to what they called 'The Experience Room'. Right now it is set up very much like an orthodontist's office, but can be rearranged in many different ways. There are several different places to sit, one is an orthodontist chair, another is a hospital bed along, with a variety of other chairs.

I am given a pill to swallow and asked to sit in the orthodontist's chair. I sit down in the chair and one of the Doctors reclines the chair, just like in an orthodontist's office. I put on the glasses that I am given and I am told that they have a couple of sample scenarios that they have already tested. Several electrode patches are attached to my head, hands and feet along with a wireless box on my belt. Since I am wearing shorts and a t-shirt, this is easy for them to do. I become very relaxed, the room goes slightly out of focus as I adjust to the glasses. At this point the Doctor beside me pulls over a rolling cabinet, lifts the lid and I see a complete set of orthodontic tools. The Doctor turns to one of the assistants and asks her to mix up a batch of alginate so that I can have a set of impressions done.

While she is mixing the alginate, the Doctor opens a drawer in the rolling cabinet and tries several sizes to impression trays to find the correct size for my mouth. the Doctor hands the top tray to her first, which she fills with alginate. She slips it gently into my mouth and presses up against my palate. I can feel it ooze around my teeth and gums in a pleasant, soothing way. It tastes like strawberries. I can feel her fingers against my lips as she tests the alginate to see if it is hardened. She starts to wiggle it back and forth gently, as I feel it start to loosen. The feeling is so pleasant that I can't help smiling.

She inserts the bottom tray into my mouth, and I can feel the way that the alginate forms to my lower jaw. Once again I feel her fingers brush against my lips as she tests if the material is firm enough. As she leans closer, I can feel her breast just brush slightly against my hand. I don't know if she did it on purpose or not. I feel her wiggling the bottom tray and then a feeling of suction as it comes loose.

Her hand comes into my line of sight and I feel her wiping away some loose alginate with a warm damp cloth. As she reaches across me to wipe my other cheek, I again feel her breast lightly brush my hand, this time it seems to be for a slightly longer time and a bit harder.

The Doctor brings the chair upright, and I get up from the chair to walk to the sink to brush my teeth and rinse out my mouth. The toothpaste has a cinnamon flavour to it.

I return to the chair, and once again it is reclined. The nurse reaches up to turn on the light, and her leg brushes against my hand. I feel the soft, smooth sensation of her silk stocking clad leg against the back of my hand. Once again I can't tell if it is deliberate or not. The Doctor opens a drawer and starts laying out a variety of items just beyond my line of sight. The nurse walks over to the counter in front of me, and begins mixing something in a small bowl. I can see that her uniform is pleasantly form fitting and that she has a nice figure. As she turns back towards me I can see the hint of a garter-belt clasp on her leg. She walks back over to her chair and sits down. I hear the hiss of her silk-stocking clad legs rubbing together as she adjusts her position on the chair. The Doctor picks up a cheek retractor from the top of the cabinet, and I open my mouth to get ready for it to be inserted. I feel the smooth plastic slide into my left cheek easily, and then I feel the nurse place her fingers into the right side of my mouth and gently pull my lips back. The Doctor inserts the retractor into that side also. My mouth and lips are stretched wide open.

She dries my teeth with warm air from the airgun. There is a slight acidic taste as she swabs my teeth with a small brush, then I feel a warm, wet sensation as she rinses the acid off while her assistant holds the suction tube against my teeth. I feel warm air dry my teeth again. The assistant holds the bowl in front of my chest as the Doctor picks up something from the cabinet drawer. I feel so relaxed that I decide to close my eyes for a short time. I can feel the Doctor pressing against my top teeth, starting at the front and working her way towards the back. I see a hint of blue light through my closed eyelids. The sensation of the Doctor pressing against my lower teeth is pleasant and relaxing. The blue light returns for a short time.

I hear the sound of a plastic bag being opened. As the assistant reaches over to the Doctors side of the chair, I feel her stocking clad leg against the back of my hand again. I open my eyes to find the Doctor handing her assistant a u-shaped metal wire. She turns to me and says, “I will be back in a little while to check on you.” I hear the sound of stiletto heels click off down the hall. I feel the stocking-clad knee of the assistant tap the back of my hand a couple of times, so I turn my head slightly towards her. She gives me a sparkly, full-banded silver smile and says, “We are almost finished, you can close your eyes again if you want.”

I am so relaxed that I follow her suggestion. I feel her fingers enter my mouth with a wire between her thumb and finger. She lays the wire against my top lip and pushes gently, and I feel a click as something engages at the back of my mouth. When she leans over me to reach the other side, I feel her silk-stocking clad leg press more firmly against the back of my hand and her breast rest against my upper arm. I again feel a click as she presses on the wire. Her hands move to the front of my face and I feel her pressing on my top front teeth and I feel a series of clicks as if something is being closed. My teeth feel as if they are tightening up slightly. Her fingers gently work their way to the back of my mouth on both sides. Her fingers move to my lower jaw, and I again feel the clicks as she pushes a wire against my back teeth. I can feel her neatly trimmed nails through the thin neoprene gloves she is wearing as she presses against my lower lip. There is another couple of clicks as she presses against my lower front teeth. The feeling of my teeth tightening up continues as she presses against my lower teeth. I feel her leg shift away from me and the weight of her breast leaves my arm. She gently strokes my cheek and asks me I can feel any wires poking my cheeks anywhere. I run my tongue around the inside of my mouth, but don't feel anything. She gives a charming soft giggle and says, with just a hint of a lisp, “Not on the inside. Check the outside of the teeth.”

I run my tongue over the bottom of my teeth starting at the back and then farther towards my cheek and up towards my gums. My tongue encounters an obstacle on my back tooth. I feel around further with my tongue and encounter more obstructions as I work further forward. I don't feel anything poking, just that I can't feel my teeth with my tongue. There is a barrier between my teeth and my tongue. She removes the lip-spreader from my mouth so that I can speak again. I tell her that I don't feel anything poking, but that my teeth feel different than they should.

She raises the back of the chair so that I am sitting upright, and says, with her slight lisp, “Open your eyes.” I open my eyes and see that she is holding a mirror. She hands me the mirror and gives me her sparkly full-banded smile again. As I open my mouth, my eyes catch sight of a shiny silver glint. I raise my upper lip further to find that I have metal brackets on my upper jaw. My unconscious reaction is to smile, which reveals that I have metal brackets on the bottom also.

As I enjoy the sight of what has been done to me, I hear the click of stiletto heels again. I turn to see the Doctor returning. The clicking of her white high-heeled shoes stops as she stands at the entrance to the room. Her assistant smiles her silver smile and waits for the Doctor to sit down. I lean back in the chair and wait for the Doctor to check the work that they have done. The hands that reach for the gloves have nails that are truly a work of art. Each nail has been painted with a portrait of a metal bracket on it. She slips a pair of thin neoprene gloves over her hands and places them on my cheeks. As she opens her mouth to speak to me, I see that she is wearing Hawley retainers. The light sparkles as it dances along the wires in her mouth. “Would you open your mouth please, so that I can check if everything is as it should be.” I can hear that her voice has a slight hiss on her pronunciation of 'please' and 'as', and her 'th' is also slightly extended. It sounds so sexy.

I smile and open my mouth wide. I can see her nails through the snug gloves as she picks up a small mirror to check my teeth. As she bends over me, her shimmering silk blouse shifts on her shoulder briefly exposing the strap of her pale beige bra. Her fingers gently glide along the inside of first one cheek then the other. I can see the wire on her upper teeth appear and disappear as she concentrates on inspecting the work they have both done. Her smile broadens to expose both her upper and lower retainer wires as she completes her check of my metal-bracketed smile.

Then she nods to her assistant and says, “Has he chosen the colour of his ligatures yet?” I can hear the the slight hiss of her 'ssss's' as she speaks. With a charming, dainty laugh, her assistant replies, “We are just about to do that. I think that we can handle that ourselves, if that is Ok with you.”

The Doctor, with the light glinting off her retainer wires, turns to me and nods her head. “I will leave you two alone then.”

I hear her white stiletto heels tapping down the hall as she leaves. I also hear the sound the assistants silk-clad legs rubbing against each other as she stands up to walk around behind me to the cabinet. When she bends over to open the drawer with the elastics, I once again catch just a hint of a garter-belt clasp at the top of her sheer white silk stockings. After she removes the box of ligatures from the cabinet, she turns to me and with a metal-banded smile asks, “Will you choose or should I?”

I give her a shining metal smile and reply, “You choose.” and then I lay back, close my eyes again and open my mouth. I  listen to her sexy giggle again as she picks through the box of ligatures. I feel her fingers in my mouth again as she starts placing ligatures on my front teeth. I hear her shifting around on her chair as she works in my mouth. When she gets to the back of my mouth, she shifts her position again and her breast is lightly brushing my arm.

“Keep your eyes closed. I am going to raise the chair and guide you over to the mirror by the sink,” she whispers into my ear. Her breath smells like fresh picked cherries. I hear her take off her gloves, followed by the sound of her silk-clad legs shifting. She raises the chair and takes my hand in hers. When we get to the sink, she places me in front of her with her hands over my eyes. “No peeking, I want it to be surprise,” she whispers into my ear. I can feel her soft, curvy body up against mine. She slides her hands down over my mouth and whispers into my ear, “Open your eyes and look into the mirror.”

I see her broad fully-banded reflection in the mirror beside my own face. I also see that there is a reflection of more than just her banded smile, there are a couple of small pistons attached to teeth. She has a Herbst. She gently slips her fingers through my lips into my mouth without removing her hands from my lips. Slowly she starts to run her fingers over my top teeth, pulling her hands back as she does it. I am absolutely stunned by what I am seeing as her hands leave my mouth. I am thrilled by the sight of my metal-bracketed smile. She has chosen to perfect colour for my ligatures.

She gives me a cup with mouthwash in it to rinse with. When I am done rinsing, I return to the chair. I feel very relaxed again, so I lean back in the chair and close my eyes.

When I open my eyes, I am still in the chair, but the assistant is gone. I run my tongue over my teeth, but there is nothing on them. Beside the chair, on the cabinet is a note. I open the note and on the inside is a message. “How did you like your first time in the experience room?”

Below that is a lipstick kiss.

I left several things in the story vague by choice. The main character in the story can be male or female. It reads different depending how the reader makes their choice. The colour of the ligatures is up to the reader. I personally would go with lime green.

I have many more thoughts about what to write about. I put the first story together in one day.

It was fun to do something that hit on more than one unusual attraction. I wanted the first one to be fairly tame and more of a feel-good story.

So in the vein of trying to find an older story, not thinking it was listed as one in the Archive. Years ago, I remember reading a "story" of a young man who had a thing for braces, never needing them himself. He was caught going through the local orthodontist's trash trying to build up his collection of things. His mother in order to break him of the fetish working with the ortho forced him into an extreme treatment, to break this. Does anyone remember this or have this story?

Thanks.

That story is not in the archive. I don't think I have it in my unchecked file. I will check to see if I have it somewhere, but I don't remember having one like that. If you had a name for the story, it would help me to find it.

I think this is the story you are looking for!

A different twist
Or, Don't get caught in the Orthos' dumpster...
This is a different twist on the development of a fetish, more of a love/hate thing.
My son is currently undergoing his orthodontic treatment and bought this all back when he showed me the Mouthwear page. I saw the links to this page and saw some similarities to my story. I lost my fascination with braces, and was even reluctant to have my son start, but my wife, and common sense, prevailed.
I was 10 when I first went to the orthodontist, this is 35 years ago. He, in some ways, was ahead of his time and even though my dentition was still developing he decided to start treatment. I am told this is quite common now, but back then most treatment was begun during the teenage years. My appliance consisted of four molar bands, one on each side, top and bottom. A thick, round wire was inserted on both top and bottom. Elastics ran from top to bottom, one on each side. It was not much compared to the full banded cases, but they were still pretty rare in our area, as were any braces at all. I was not a good patient, I would not wear the elastics, and whatever he hoped to achieve was met with limited success. After about a year, he removed the wires and bands.
Still, while I hated wearing the appliances, I somehow liked the control the orthodontist exercised over his patients. Now braces are so common kids donít even seem to notice. In the early sixties it was very different, braces were like some sort of sentence, a painful, embarrassing, drawn out sentence. There were no orthodontic fan clubs at the time.
The orthodontist office was a ten minute bike ride from my home. I would go by it on the way to visit my cousins, the older one, John, was in high school. Bobby was my age and we played together as well as went to school together. I found myself stopping outside the office, which was part of his house, and watching as the patients went in and out. I would sometimes see kids in tears or very upset at the prospect, or new reality, of braces. And that fascinated me. One girl I saw wearing what must have been a new headgear was inconsolable, and I remember her mother comforting her as her brother teased her. I was close enough to hear her mother tell her that she was going to have to wear it 14 hours a day. It was the first headgear I had seen, and this made it even more exciting.
I was about twelve at this point. One winter day, after school, I was coming home from my cousins, down an alley. It was already dark, but I could see the receptionist emptying the trash into a can out back. I waited for her to leave and started sifting through the bag she had just put in. I found an appliance just like the one I had worn. That started a series of raids on the trash, from which I would collect the various discarded wires and bands, elastics or whatever seemed interesting, including pictures I took out of a magazine he had thrown away. I kept this collection hidden in my garage.
I never had any intention of wearing them myself, I wanted to be the orthodontist, not the patient. The exception was when I found a facebow and strap one day. I went around the corner, out of sight (I thought) and even without and bands to attach it to, I tried it on. It was then I noticed three teenagers in a car looking at me with the headgear on and laughing. I was embarrassed and immediately took it off, which made them laugh even harder.
I was about a month later that I found a willing participant for my little game. It was a girl from the next block, Melinda. We had known each other for years, and had played doctor when we were younger. Not the sexual version of the game, we didnít even know about that yet. But we were in my garage and she was sitting in a chair when I said, just as my ortho had said to me, "Well, I think treatment is indicated. You should start wearing an appliance." She asked "What?" And I replied "Braces." I took out my little collection and put the headgear in her mouth. I told her I used to wear it when I had braces, she just accepted that. And I loved the feeling of putting her in it. She played right along asking me not to make her wear braces, and asking how long she would have to wear them etc. It was only about ten minutes, but it was what my budding fantasy was all about. She went home, probably thinking nothing more about it. I figured if I got her to play along once, I could do it again.
So I took my meager little collection with me and rode over the orthodontist to collect some more bands, if I could find them. As I was rummaging around in the trash, The orthodontist came out. I was caught red handed, with my entire collection. He had known someone was going through his trash for the last three months and was just waiting to catch the person, and he caught me. He took me into his office, looked at the bands, wires pictures and headgear, and called my mother. My mother was a very strict woman. I was her only child, my father had been killed years before. She was determined not to let anyone find out about this, and the Dr. agreed. They went into his private office and left me sitting alone.
They concluded, correctly, that I had a "strange attraction"to braces. Their mistake was in thinking I wanted them. My mother figured my previous bad attitude towards my appliances was a cry for more attention. And they both agreed, primarily for psychological reasons, that the best way to treat me was to make me not want to wear them ever again, by making me hate wearing them. Their plan was simple, put me in full bands and leave them on until they were sure I was "curedî. He mentioned the headgear but figured I would not comply. My mother promised, in front of me, that I would. She did not care how long it took. Whenever I tried to talk she just told me to shut up, I had no say in it and she did not want to hear any excuses for my "odd behavior." He agreed to start right away, and put spacers in my mouth that night. Two days later, it was a Friday, the braces went on.
I spent all of those two days saying how sorry I was and that they really showed me how wrong I was and that I didnít want to wear braces. I was told I was too young to know, and that they knew what they were doing. I still remember how bad I felt, I knew I was being punished, but not really sure what I did was wrong. I tried to explain that I wanted to be an orthodontist and that is all I was doing, but they knew otherwise. If I wanted braces so bad I could have them.
The good doctor did not skimp on the details either. Full bands, upper and lower. Then came the headgear. Then came the complicated archwires, with an unusual assortment of loops, bends and hooks, for all of the elastics. I was never without elastics, usually three or four at a time, always placed as conspicuously as possible. He made sure he did not hurt my teeth, but did every thing possible to make my treatment hell. All, of course, for my own good. The headgear had both a high pull strap, which I had never seen before, and a neck strap. He told me I should wear it as much as possible. My mother had her own plans. We went to see my cousin play in a baseball game the next day. I left the headgear in my room, and my mouth hurt like hell at this point, but it was everyone staring at me that hurt worse. As soon as we got to the game, my mother took the headgear out of her pocketbook and told me to put it on. I told her I would just sit in the car if she made me and I got the "you wanted them, you got them"line and she literally dragged me to the stands. Other kids just stared at that thing on my face, most had never even seen one, never mind worn one.
That became her favorite tactic, to wait until I got in a social situation, then take out the headgear and tell me, in front of everyone, "It is time for you to put your headgear onî. The plan was to make me hate braces, and it certainly did. They had me wear that headgear through high school. I had to wear it to dances, football games, to the mall, where ever she thought I would see anyone. I never had to wear it in the house unless there was company. If she found I took it off at school, and she knew most of my teachers, I would be kind of reverse grounded, she would take me places, dances, whatever. Two things a teenager absolutely did not want in public, headgear and his mother. I was continually asking when the braces were coming off, and was told that it depended on my attitude. I could never figure out what they wanted to see, even when I wore everything as directed. But the older I got, the more frustrated I got with wearing braces. I had become the joke of the class. But if I cheated, my mother would show up, even during school hours. She even sat in one of my classes once. Every two weeks, on Tuesday, I would have to go directly from school and sit in his office for three hours. I was always the last patient seen, and it rarely took more than a minute. Still, nobody but the three of us knew what my "treatment"was all about.
Finally, after I graduated from high school I figured they would have to come off, I was 18, and had been wearing them for five and a half years. Then he hits me with "I now need to put your teeth in their final position. It will probably take about a year, maybe a year and a half." I cried. Not only had everyone I knew gotten braces on after me, and gotten theirs off already, now I was going to college with them. He discontinued the head gear, and cut the elastics down to two, but still had them on until spring break of my sophomore year.
I still hate hearing the word braces. Whatever developing fetish I had, they crushed. But there was terrible price to pay. I hated high school, I hated the taunting, the looks, the way I was immediately characterized. I only joined one club, the newspaper, and we were all considered nerds anyway. I was jokingly considered the head nerd, and everyone thought that was funny, but me. I had no real social life, except for what my mother forced me to do, and she was consistent in forcing me to do things. I moved away after college, which I actually enjoyed. My mother died twenty years ago, and we never really talked about this. She was convinced she did the right thing. I know it was the reason we saw so little of each other. I have never told anyone the story, not even my wife. Reading it now it seems almost incredible. The anonymity of the internet makes this possible. I am not sure what the moral to the story is. I think I am reasonably well adjusted, if not somewhat of an introvert. I know I question every doctor carefully, I take nothing for granted. But I have gone out of my way to avoid going with my son to the ortho. I think I went from fetish to phobia. Maybe writing this will help.

I did some digging through a site I remembered from years ago and found some of the old everyoneweb.com/braces stories on Geotitles. The actual site is long gone but archive.org worked for some. Here's the links:

There has been no activity on that group since 2015. I have applied for membership, but don't really expect a response.

@jonjon delete the address in the the way back machine box from (and including) the question mark. The anonym.to thing confuses it
