Over the years of looking womens with braces, i realise that, sometimes, I know they have them even before I see them, I supose thats beacuse of the lisp, or the shape of the lips.
Do you have the same feeling?
-
Yes, and i have a habit of continuing to watch them until they open their mouth so I can validate my assumption.
-
Yes...I seem to have that suspicion too...although i usually can't tell from such small detail like lip shape...but in general I seem to have a feeling if they have braces/or perhaps they should have them...
-
I'm not sure, but I think ortho treatment usually make people look like they have slightly wider cheeks, maybe because of the constant bone inflammation. Have you noticed this before?
-
I have noticed the same. Maybe it is also because some people try to hide their braces. You can somehow see that from the way they move their lips.
-
Same for me. Often it's the lips pushed out. If the person talks, whether you can actually see the braces or not, the way the lips move make it obvious. In any case, always interesting / fun to guess.

The people with braces ussualy do strange gestures with their lips and cheeks. I love looking for a fixed retainer in the bottom teeth un the people without braces
-
Yes, I have the same experience. I would notice the form of a persons lips or an action and then I would try and confirm that they have braces.

Oh yea definitely the way a woman's lips sit is a big indicator. I kind of get why too since I've gotten them. They do push on your lips and cheeks (sometimes in an irritating way) and cause you mouth to puff out, especially when you get a new appliance installed. As my treatment progresses I'm expecting more puffing in my face lol. Should be a blast. :)

I also agree, I always note the slight pout.
