I was recently reading the book H2O by Virginia Bergin. It's about bacterium in the rain which kill people. Basically post apocalyptic. The catch is he main character, Ruby, has a set of braces. They come up a few times in the story, and at certain points she stresses about how she's never going to have them taken off. Anyways, the whole thing caught my interest and I was wondering if any of y'all know about some books where the main character has braces. There doesn't need to be a huge focus on them, but just a glimpse would be nice. Thanks!

One I know of is Meg Murray,, protagonist of A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. They're only mentioned about three times. They appear somewhat more often in the graphic novel adaptation by Hope Larson.
