I would like to influence which choices another made on the treatment plan (e.g. extractions vs herbst+rpe) . If I was good at writing stories I should write one.

As a fantasy I would like to have permanent braces or have to wear headgear wvery day, however in real life not so much. (i am thinking of buying one or two retainers which I can wear with headgear.

Now for other people, I don't want to see my spouse/loved one in this, but I imagine the condescending, yet beautiful, co-worker in accounting getting a rather aggressive treatment plan. She thinks she will get Invisalign or something similar, but instead needs her bite corrected and is having to wear a retainer that affects her speech in combination with headgear. Not only do I get to see her every day in this contraception, her demeanour would change as she isn't confident and short with people anymore.

Not sure if I explained this well, but I guess I want to see extensive treatment on the "people I don't like" as a way of justice/karma is you like.

Same for me. I would not want treatment, I really didn't like my braces when I had them. That being said, it's interesting for me to hear about or see other people's treatment.

I've always actively looked for guys with braces to go out/hookup with. I definitely love braces on others, but even though my orthodontic treatment ended a decade ago when I was in middle school and my teeth stayed in place, if there was the occasion to have a treatment together with someone else who's into braces as much as I am, I wouldn't hold myself back!

Giving some gorgeous models a metal mouth consisting of full bands and wired in headgear is one thing i like the sound of.

This is an interesting thread! For me, some of the appeal comes from the control aspect of braces, mainly that someone is using toward me, though for the right person I would be interested in controlling treatment as well. I've never had them, so I have a fascination with what they feel like as well. I also do find them interesting on others as well, such as considering why the brackets are placed how they are (top, middle, bottom of teeth), or knowing why others got them in the first place. When looking at braces on others, I usually like an in-progress smile, meaning one where the braces have been on for a bit but not where the patient is almost done with treatment.

Side note, elastics don't really appeal to me, either on others or as a part of a hypothetical plan for myself. Not sure if others feel the same

I also like braces only on others (women), but I'd never want to use braces by myself. I already have some dentures and I just hate that weird feeling.

I like it on myself but not on others for some reason.

That seems pretty unique.  Don't get me wrong, it's cool, just find it interesting and thought I'd point that out.  I, for one would like to hear more about that if there's more to tell but I wouldn't want to pry.

I definitely wouldn't want to be seen in braces these days.  Considering my age, it would probably seem weird, or worse.  Idk.  Definitely remember liking the whole experience when I had them as a teen.  However, if a significant other would want me to wear fakes or something, I'd do it in a heartbeat.  Probably won't happen in this lifetime.  Seriously doubt anyone would want to see that as I'm more in need of some significant restorative dentistry.  Hope I haven't created a sad or disturbing mental image for anyone  :-[

I had braces when younger. Still wear my Essix retainer now.
In theory I would like to get braces again to correct some minor relapses but with work I couldn’t face it.
I prefer to imagine what my dream scenario would be rather than actually following through with this. In reality I would want minimal to show

Well, metalfoxy, there's always "fakes."  Nobody has to see or know!

For example, I have always wanted to wear braces on me. I would like to find a girl who will make me do it. I have never been happy to see others, it always only increased the desire to possess. The set of braces + herbst + double Expanders is my biggest dream. Maybe it will come true one day because I need braces for my teeth and I'm only 20 years

I love elastics. Not loads of them, just unusual configurations. Like bottom canines to back molars - a girl I as at school with had these and I always thought they looked cool.
