Alter feminine ego of mine:
Girl wearing
Full braces withe powerchains, removable combo headgear, "reasonable" amount of class II elastics, removable biteplate on the top, fixed lower arch expander, Herbst
It`s tough to pack all that stuff at one mouth

I love removable braces... Fixed ones are great, but for me the plastic plates and the lisp put the removable ones a step beyond

Fullbands are my favourite! my first girlfriend (she was 16, i was 17) were lower fullbands... and upper only the 4 frontteeth were in normal metalbrackets... the molars in bands!!

Definitely removable. The plastic plate feels great, the bigger the better.

Removable! To me there's not much point if there's no plastic at the top of your mouth!

If you had the option, would you have liked fixed brackets with a plastic appliance? Take a look at my 'dream treatment' posting and let us know!

On me - I like my removable retainer. As someone else said, the feeling of plastic.
On the ladies, I like fixed. Nothing like a non-removable silver smile, being stuck and having to live with it.
Both instances, however, are vastly improved with the addition of a headgear - preferably a "Real" one, not some diminutive neck-strap that can be huidden under a ponytail.
