Not allowing guests to post is understandable, but why prevent guests from viewing? phpBB certainly allows this.

We have many abuse and spam from guests in the last time. We can't check all posts from one guest, when we found abuse. Guest-post are high risk for us. When you want, you can register with a anomized email-adress, hundrets of other people, to do that.

Not allowing guests to post is fine. But why prevent them from *reading*? You can set the board up to not allow guest posts but still allow guest read access.
